I wish they make more mech games like this
I feel like people are being to harsh when this game is actually really solid. Assault Gunner is an old PS game that was never sold outside of Japan and was later given a PC port which is what this game is. You have a squadron of mechs that you get to customize with a range of different parts as the game continues. The highlight of this game is definitely the customization. It's part variety is insanely good and you can spend a lot of time making your perfect robot after grinding out the parts. Also customizing your team to match their classes is fun too although I haven't really figured that part out yet... The ai for enemies and your teammates is a little buggy which I would expect for a game like this. If your fresh out of Armored Core 6 and you just NEED that dose of mecha action at a low price that can run well on just about anything then get this game. Don't expect more out of a product then what it's actually worth. 7.6/10 Edit: I did forget to mention that the bosses are my least favourite part about the game. Not because their bad but because of how easy they are. If they amped up the health and aggression it would be way better. Edit: I have now completed the full base game and there are a couple things I want to mention. The bosses being to easy did hold up until I got to the final mission. Spoiler alert if you care about the plot (I didn't) but you end up fighting ghost who is like the rival/V2 of this game and she is significantly harder. You've got to make sure your team survives to help take aggro and I like that. I whish the other bosses could've been similar in difficulty if not just a little easier. But I overall had a good time and will probably play the dlc at some point.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Do you want the mecha version of Dynasty Warriors mowing down mechs brainlessly? Play this game on normal Do you want to get some challenge out of this game? play it on hard and there's actually some challenge some stages(and your allies are worthless in hard+ so more agency to you) until you reach stage 20. Honestly I was going to be a lot more positive on this review before playing stage 20 on hard but you can't tell me a single small target of a boss has more hp than my entire missile stock when any other machine behemoth you fight caves in quite easily, and all that while one shotting your allies and dispatching you easily too. This is a positive review since I found some fun with this game but it's a some fun to be had 5/10 game. The game is wildly unbalanced on harder difficulty modes mostly on bosses. the story barely exists and it is mostly rolling text and like 15 maybe unique locations and I might be generous since I didn't really try to count. And this is supposed to be a Vita game! I had a Vita and those games could be much better than this. Also you need to specify which controller you are using at startup and the game won't recognize any control method apart from the one listed at the start Also to unlock the full campaign you need to finish stages you beat before again with special requirements that I have not seen listed anywhere other than a guide with the first of those requiring you to save the dumbest AI ally from going kamikaze on the boss the second it spawns. If you are willing to look past all of these issues you can find a potentially fun mecha game, heck I might have been able to resume playing on hard on stages not numbered 20 and have the fun I had with the somewhat simple game it is.
Really fun game if you like Gundam.
Awesome, quite fun & has a decent amount of replayability. Gripes & areas for improvement: • Need to allow players to use main, melee & shoulder weapons simultaneously without having to constantly switch between them because it felt a little tedious/annoying. (maybe sub weapon as well) • Too much graphical interface & text covering the screen. (would be better if they were smaller & on a side panel)
A beautiful confluence of Armored Core and Earth Defense Force. The most critical things I can say about the game are: 1. I had to change the resolution in order to play it and not get lag from certain missile launches (it's a testament to the game that I wanted to) 2. Not enough interesting\effective fist weapons (i.e. an energy sword or the included grenade knuckle) Don't believe the Shade this game is Marvelous!

I played the mobile version (spa), and recently I found this PC version. I recommend the game.
