I wouldn't recommend it personally to anyone because of a lot of annoying things this game has- the naval is alright and the world is really beautiful but the combat is.. well it takes like a thousand hits to kill someone and i dont like that at all also the mercenary system is so damn annoying... if you want an ac game dont get this one if you want a fun experience as this game feels so grindy and time consuming its not worth it tbh just play origins it's far better

This is one of my favourite games of all time. I come back to it again and again. Some say it's not a good AC game but that's precisely why I like it. The story is nice, not the best written story ever but it kept my interest and introduced characters I thought were cool. Kassandra/Alexios are one of the highlights of the game, I love their dialogue and each of them has their own different flavour depending on what vibes you want. I like the exploration element and the combat. Because I love AC Odyssey so much, here are my criticisms for the major downsides which might be dealbreakers for some people: - The ingame shop is super predatory, there are ads in the main menu and although the customization options in the shop are extremely cool, they are not worth your money unless you're stupid rich. You can take your chances and earn in-game currency to try to gamble with the in-game gambling machine to get the gear from the store for free, but it's very grindy and not worth your time unless you're neurodivergent like me, good at hyperfixating, and stubbornly refuse to spend any more money on the game. - Levelling is also EXTREMELY grindy, and drachmae is hard toearn. I bought the booster for both things from the shop and I still feel ripped off. Ubisoft is trying to rob you and unfortunately for me I fell for it. I really believe that the game was intended to work with the boosters, but they put them in the shop just to make people pay for it. - Some of the space in the open world feels underutilized and there are stretches of wilderness in places. I don't super mind this, but I do feel like they could have put more camps/dungeons to fill these swathes of nothingness (especially in the north). - I know this is a common complaint with AC games, but my GOD I cannot stand the modern-day part of the storytelling. I do my best to skip these entirely and pretend they never happened. Fortunately they don't happen too often. In short: I love Odyssey and I will forever, but it does come with flaws which mostly aren't the game's fault and mostly the fault of the Corporation, Ubisoft. Tell them to give me my money back and stop robbing people.

Sehr großes Open World (Assassins Creed) Spiel in sehr geilem antiken Szenarium. Das Gameplay als Assassine ist allerdings recht unbelohnend oder schlecht im Vergleich zu Schwert oder Bogen. Referenzen auf das Assassin's Creed Universum sind auch eher überschaubar. Dafür gibt es eine riesige Sandbox mit zig, wenn auch sich ähnelnden, optionalen Inhalten. Eher was für Fans der Antike als für alte AC Hasen.
