This is an absolutely awesome game. Recommended. No one else I know of has done this before, definitely not at this great level of detail. It appears it is a sandbox without an end, however, you will be just finding new and new challenges to overcome as you progress - first winter, first invasion, next new building, next camp area growth, more winters, invasions getting stronger, explore, expand the camp population, more automated defense setups with less manual intervention, more exploration, caves, ships, military patrols, bosses, boss re-spawns, control of the boss areas and so it goes further and further to hundreds of hours. Even better that the world is generated not handmade. For devs, if they haven't fixed these yet: 1) The craftsmen pickup the cured leather when done curing but keep it in their inventory instead of storing at the leather work storage. They are hoarding all of it, like 10 pieces at times when I need every single one for crafting. The player can take it from their inventory but they could just dump in the storage so that I don't need to do workplace inspection by myself. 2) The warehouse workers collect resources from input storage of the workshops. If there is any logic in it that I don't see, perhaps there could be a checkbox that prevents it. Otherwise just don't collect from the input storage boxes. Most notably the hardwood long sticks and logs that I bring to the carpentry get taken away to the warehouse, requiring the carpenter to bring them again from the warehouse. 3) Builders should not build structures belonging to the Outpost, including the Outpost addons, unless they are assigned to the outpost. Perhaps even the Outpost itself unless player explicitly wants it. Otherwise the builders do dumb things such as carrying a large stone across the whole map in winter, in night and either freezing or getting eaten by wulfar that has unexpectedly spawned back. I cannot prevent their decision other way than don't create building blueprints. Anyway, not an easy task to get all these logic rules implemented well, could feel as endless development.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I still cannot change my game settings after I started my game. If I want to have shorter days or more enemies I have to restart, build everything again, unlock all recipes again. When playing Bellwright I can adjust almost all settings ingame. I will give this another chance, but if after the next update I do not have absolute freedom how to configure my game anytime (and an account-wide character), this will be removed from my harddrive. Unfortunately I played too much to get my money back.
the death penalty is the stupidest thing they could have put in this game you either sacrifice your clan member or drop your stuff and lose stat points cool lets make a grindy game even worse swear some devs are just stupid for no reason
I have put over 500 hours into ASKA and really enjoy it! It's become my default trusty backup game when nothing else sounds good and I just want to be zen and gather and build and explore. While the villager AI can be a bit wonky, and it has some early access bugs, the devs do a regular job of rolling out regular patches to try and address both.
If you enjoy constantly micromanaging and grinding to grind the next thing, this game is great for you. I personally don't like to have to chop down an entire birch forest just to make a slight addition to the workshop. The amount of Grind in this SINGLEPLAYER-CO-OP game is insane, especially for a game that is SUPPOSED to have automation. The villager AI is so incredibly dumb that you have to micromanage absolutely everything in order for stuff to get even SLIGHTLY made correctly, oh, that is until you've got at least 20 villagers, then you have 0 resources nearby that are ready for harvesting and so any of the buildings you want to make, which take 5+ steps to finish each one requiring an absurd amount of resources that you have to gather yourself because the villagers are off picking their bums because they can't chop the trees themselves because the workshop refuses to make axes for them, so you have to either make them axes or chop the trees yourself. It's a game that is built and geared like a city builder with an AI that doesn't actually work right, and they refuse to actually fix any of the issues. (since the beginning, the AI will gather huge amounts of materials and just drop them when they go on break, and don't realize there's materials all over the ground, straight up walked into the workshop with rope strewn everywhere, like an entire inventory worth, I didn't even have it set to make that many!)
Per me è scaffale e disinstallazione immediata.
