"THERE IS AN ENEMY SHIP BELOW US! I'M LOADING FOUR NUKES!" - my Cousin
this seems unplayable. menu and UI is *BAD*. I think it only works with joystick and a hell of a lot other issues. unless you know what you are doing, DO NOT buy it yet. :(
Needs a bit of polish Excited to check out the new patch

Love it!
I have played MANY hours of Cosmos (i was part of the early testing group), and even more of Artemis 2. Over the past year, the Cosmos game engine has become exceptionally stable and continues to be developed regularly. At the time of writing, space monsters are being developed in the background and are slated to release in an upcoming version. Creating a new mission script is a much more involved process. I have been developing my script for over a year now, and use it regularly with an online group. The options it offers and the flexibility of the scripting system is incredible. I started from scratch, so built console layouts, and UI from scratch, making the most of the powerful python scripting available. If you are in to coding and Python, then Cosmos is an amazing game to develop scripts for. Cosmos has also provided some excellent gameplay. Shuttles dropping off marine teams to retake stations, falling back under an onslaught of enemies, only to consolidate and counter attack, unlocking jump gates and traveling to new star systems, custom designed for my script - these are all things that we have done in the TSN RP Community. It's been an exciting journey so far, and one with endless potential! I am loving Cosmos!
Nuke! Literally... Nuke
Great to have a community building IRL experience linked with the video game!
The game fails in a lot of ways and misses the mark. Where to start, (1) Add a feature for solo missions without the need to play in group. (2) Add playable Space stations complete with weapons so players can play these like none moving ships. (3) Add weapons that can be added to Large stations for long and short range beam and torpedo fire. (4) Add mining ship that can place mine fields. On the different stations, there has to be more for the communication station to do. (5) Add ability to coordinate damage control teams and add a jamming station. This is just to name a few things. The Editor should be more straight forward and allow for an easy creation. Have DLC from users available as missions. (6) Lastly, Have a complete video and printed walk through on how to connect a Lan system using this game incorporating step-by-step instructions on the types of connection, cables, computers needed to set this up. This would help the overwhelmed newbie. Create online league matches that can be player world wide and a ranking system for crews that participate in those matches.
Really, really unfinished. It took our small group an hour of hunting forums to just figure out how to play online with each other, and then it really just wasn't anything close to a fun experience.
