Game got feedback and updates for a month.... 7th April 2020 was last reported update, am i missing something or was this game a massive fail? as it stands its pretty much unplayable, so whats next devs? and when! Is it even being worked on, or did you hit and run?
stay away !
An awful and unplayable game. When I say unplayable, I mean COMPLETELY unplayable. The UI overlaps itself at times, you can't even read some words AT ALL. Controller support is terrible and unresponsive. Some keybinds don't match/work. It really is an unplayable and horrendous game. It looks terrible anyways. Even the dev gave up! HAHA 0/10 DO NOT BUY!
So did they just forget about this game or what? At least the developer could've gave us a warning or something. Seems like it could've been a great game, but as of now it's T-rash. I try to play it every week, hoping they update it and fix the bugs. Not yet, so I wouldn't recommend it until they do. Come on Devs, you got something that could be good for us boxing fans. Give it another shot!
After about 20 minutes of gameplay, I find it hard to keep playing this game, which is a shame cause I was hoping this would be one of those boxing games that would be more like a diamond with some dirt covering the entire gem, but instead it's just a wad of dirt, covered in dirt. I looked through some of the recent developments on this game and saw that the dev added many mocapped punches and movements which initially got me excited and was enough for me to try the game out. You can definitely see the mocap animations, and they are good quality animations. However, from this point on, I have nothing good to say about this game. What the hell is this UI? I know it's an indie game and the UI shouldn't be the main focus for the game as development continues, but holy hell it's such an ugly UI, there's overlapping text, overlapping boxes, none of the colors of the UI make sense! On the home screen in career mode, there are 3 transparent boxes with text in them, all 3 boxes are completely different colors, puke green, neon red and pink, just ugly to look at. SPEAKING of the text, could you have used an uglier font and color for your UI? Black text with a yellow stroke around the text, sometimes white text with a yellow stroke, and what's with the STROKES all over the text, no game that has a good UI contain a stroke, and if they do, they personalize it to make it work, in this they just activated the stroke option and called it a day cause the transparent boxes are so ugly and the text without a stroke was hard to read. I know this is a nit pick in the grand scheme of things, but if you're charging money for an early access game that's THIS early access, the least you could do is make it easy to traverse through the menu's options. Gameplay felt bad. Besides the actual animation of the punches and general movements, which again, looked good, it felt very clunky to put it as nicely. You'd expect your character would move in the same direction that the camera is pointed at, but no, as the camera is circling around the ring along with your character, the controls don't adjust along with the view, so moving up on the stick won't move your character in the same direction that you expect for much longer. Holding down the jab/straight punch doesn't drop any of your stamina, just infinitely refills. No offense to the creator, but the button layout is stupid, the only input that makes sense is the left stick to move, and the right stick to head swivel, everything else makes no sense. Push down on your right stick to block? What? A/X to dodge? What does dodge even do? Cause the tutorial tells you to press A to dodge, you hit A, nothing happens, and the tutorial just ends... I assume dodge is just taking a big step in either direction, but I couldn't tell cause actually using it in a match doesn't seem to do anything. Speaking of movement, why do the boxers all collectively have arthritis? The animations look good when you're standing and fighting, but as soon as you have to move, they take FOREVER to lift their feet off the canvas, and trying to move sideways looks painful, they kinda lower their entire body like they just pulled a muscle in their back. My final thoughts on this game... I do not see myself touching this game again, I have fight night champion, I can just play that instead, but I want to play a game not made by EA for once, and the market for such games is completely barren. I wish the creator/developer/s good luck on this project.
So much potential. I like the way the game have been setup but with that being said. When i fight i have 2-3 fps all through the fight on a high quality gaming computer that drives games like Rust and warzone. It's unplayable :(
Official rating at this point is sucky. Sometimes I can land punches and sometimes we can't land anything. I would put it in the bug report but I doubt anyone is looking at those. No updates for over 8 months. Not looking good.
needs to be updated has putential but it is unplayible
