Parts of the level are destructible. Be careful while choosing a cover; it might not last long enough to save you from ADE's army. On the other hand, it may also be a chance to unlock new paths to defeat ADE.
Collect all the secrets and unlock all achievements for the ultimate challange!
Four friends, three cats, one castle (which is actually a rented house and that's where the name of the company comes from) and an old sick passion for gaming. The idea of making a videogame has been with us for a long time, after a few years just thinking about it we took some time off our actual jobs and we are finally trying to follow our dream. So here it starts our journey with ARK and ADE, our first videogame.
We hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it.

ARK and ADE is a high-energy virtual reality shooter that fully commits to the idea of blending classic arcade design with modern VR immersion. Developed by Castello Inc and published by Beyond Frames, the game is clearly inspired by the neon-soaked sci-fi aesthetics and relentless action of 1980s arcade cabinets, but it reinterprets those influences through physical movement, spatial awareness, and tactile gunplay. From the moment you step into its stylized digital world, the game makes its intentions clear: this is a fast, flashy, and unapologetically arcade-driven experience built around reflexes, spectacle, and replayability rather than narrative complexity. At its core, ARK and ADE is about constant motion and pressure. Enemies pour in from all directions, forcing players to stay alert and reactive while navigating compact arenas and corridors filled with incoming fire. Unlike traditional flat-screen shooters, the VR format adds a physical dimension to combat, where dodging, aiming, and repositioning feel directly connected to the player’s own movements. The game offers multiple locomotion options, including smooth movement, teleportation, and dash-style blinking, allowing players to tailor the experience to their comfort level. This flexibility makes the game accessible to both VR newcomers and veterans while maintaining the intensity required for its arcade roots. Gunplay is one of the strongest elements of the experience. Weapons feel punchy and responsive, with a satisfying sense of impact that is amplified by the VR perspective. As you progress, your arsenal expands through power-ups and upgrades that transform basic firearms into more destructive tools, such as shotguns, rapid-fire weapons, explosive launchers, and energy-based guns. Each weapon type encourages a slightly different playstyle, and the game pushes you to adapt on the fly as situations escalate. The inclusion of slow-motion mechanics adds another layer of strategy, allowing players to briefly manipulate time to line up shots, evade dense bullet patterns, or clear overwhelming waves in cinematic fashion. Enemy encounters are designed less around tactical AI and more around volume, speed, and visual clarity. Opponents are easy to read and quick to identify, which suits the arcade philosophy of immediate feedback and fast decision-making. While enemy behaviors are relatively straightforward, the sheer number of threats and the density of projectiles ensure that combat remains challenging. Boss encounters emphasize spectacle, scale, and pattern recognition rather than complex mechanics, delivering climactic moments that feel like the final stages of an old-school arcade run. Although these fights can feel familiar after repeated playthroughs, they still succeed in reinforcing the game’s retro identity. ARK and ADE offers several gameplay modes that extend its longevity beyond a single run. A structured arcade-style mode provides a clear progression through levels, while arena and endless modes focus on survival, score chasing, and mastery of mechanics. These modes encourage replayability, especially for players who enjoy refining their performance, climbing leaderboards, and unlocking achievements. The game’s scoring systems and difficulty options cater to competitive players while still allowing casual sessions for those who simply want a burst of adrenaline-fueled action. Visually and aurally, the game is unapologetically bold. Neon colors, geometric environments, and glowing enemies create a striking retro-futuristic look that feels tailor-made for VR. The visual clarity ensures that even chaotic firefights remain readable, which is crucial in a genre where split-second reactions matter. The soundtrack leans heavily into synth-driven, high-tempo tracks that perfectly complement the on-screen action, reinforcing the sensation of being inside a living arcade machine. Optional support for haptic accessories further enhances immersion, making every shot and explosion feel more tangible. While ARK and ADE does not offer a lengthy narrative campaign or deep story exploration, its focused design works in its favor. The game understands its strengths and does not attempt to dilute them with unnecessary systems. Some players may wish for greater enemy variety or more complex boss mechanics, but these limitations are largely overshadowed by the game’s confident execution and strong sense of identity. It is a title that values immediacy, responsiveness, and style above all else. In the end, ARK and ADE succeeds as a celebration of arcade shooters reimagined for virtual reality. It delivers a concentrated burst of action that feels physical, stylish, and consistently engaging, especially for players who appreciate retro influences and score-driven gameplay. Whether you are chasing high scores, experimenting with movement and weapons, or simply enjoying the rush of neon-lit combat, the game offers a polished and energetic VR experience that captures the spirit of classic arcades while fully embracing the possibilities of modern technology. Rating: 8/10
It's good!
Parece que vc esta dentro do filme Tron :)
Fun game play, just a bit too short. The game only takes you about 2-3 hours to beat and the final boss was honestly the easiest boss in the game due to it being so easy to cheese. If you want the game to be longer, play on the hardest difficulty. The game could also use a better soundtrack, default music is fine but something like what is in Hotline Miami would fit the game very well. I also think some higher render distance would be nice on PC, but I understand this might not be possible on quest. If you enjoy Arcade style gameplay and a wide enemy variety, then this game is for you. If you come in here expecting a 20 hour campaign with a deep story line then you will be disappointed (But you probably already know that from the trailer).
Playing this game tonight I had the insatiable craving for Chuck E Cheese pizza from the 80's! I LOVE THIS GAME!! Sad they had to change the name but you know what, it still totally works!!! These guys did such a great job on this retro into VR game I love it. I'm a fan of retro PC's however. I have a Commodore 64 VR app, it's called Real Commodore 64 - Virtually. You can find it for the Quets standalone and PCVR: https://sidequestvr.com/app/3820/real-commodore-64-virtually https://github.com/petermg/RiftS-C64VR
LITERALLY AN ARCADE SHOOTER, BUT IN VR (this is a good thing)
