Plunge into the nostalgic 80’s Low-poly Sci-Fi setting. Dune, Stargate, Blade Runner, Tron, Star Wars, Idiana Jones, Space Invaders, R-Type are just some of the revered 80s sci-fi movies and videogames that inspired the setting of the game.
Protect ARK from ADE’s army: it's the key to save humanity, the only thing that could change the future of our race forever. Some enemies will focus solely on him, you and ARK share the save life, defend it at all costs.
"This is my rifle, this is my gun, this is for fighting and this is for fun" Just one gun, a very powerful weapon that will morph into anything you need to defeat ADE and save the world will accompany you all the game long.
Parts of the level are destructible. Be careful while choosing a cover; it might not last long enough to save you from ADE's army. On the other hand, it may also be a chance to unlock new paths to defeat ADE.
Collect all the secrets and unlock all achievements for the ultimate challange!
Four friends, three cats, one castle (which is actually a rented house and that's where the name of the company comes from) and an old sick passion for gaming. The idea of making a videogame has been with us for a long time, after a few years just thinking about it we took some time off our actual jobs and we are finally trying to follow our dream. So here it starts our journey with ARK and ADE, our first videogame.
We hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Arcade Action From The Inside ARK-ADE is a fast paced, bullet hell, retro arcade, first person shooter. Made into an amazing VR world. You are sucked into an arcade machine and are submerged into an amazing 80s retro arcade looking VR world. The world looks and feels amazing. You will feel like you are in a Tron movie. From the characters, to the stunning world, it will feel like you are inside the game. You can even see the arcade screen in the distance. The world has lots of little details in it, destructible walls, and everything feels to scale. The combat feels really good. You will have no problem aiming at your targets while moving fast to avoid incoming fire. You can take cover behind a wall, but the wall can be shot down. Leaving you out in the open. As you play icons will pop up that you must shot to gain health and temp different fire power. It reminds me of the Contra days, get the spreader icon before it disappears. If you have a love for sci-fi and the 80s, this game is a dream come true. It's bullet hell, it's retro action, it's an exiting VR world to be immersed into. This game will not disappoint, and will keep you in non stop action. Watch my preview here, https://youtu.be/cW7svHXt280
Get rid of the annoying teleporter, or at least include a way to disable it, and this becomes a thumbs up
It's a cool arcade shooter with retro virtual reality inspired graphics. Like Tron but with shooting. This is more than an average wave shooter, this has more style and more heart. Also you move in this and dodge bullets and stuff, so it has more gameplay elements in it than a basic wave shooter. It has some secrets as well in every map which increases replayability. Also it seems like the developers are adding new content at some point so that's a plus. I'm not a biggest fan of the whole VR shooter genre, but this is fun enough for me to occasionally drop in and play a level or two. I'm sure some of my friends will try this out as well when they visit me. I did however buy the game from a sale and I'm not sure if I'd like to pay 17€ for occasional short fun moment.
Works on Reverb G2 with minor issue. Retro arcade VR shooter with minimalistic visuals and frantic gameplay. It's quite short, but every second is filled with non-stop action. Every shot is projectile based, both shooting and dodging feels satisfying. Strafing speed is slow enough to encourage real life side stepping to avoid damage from time to time. Enemies are surprisingly varied for such a small game, and there is a unique boss for every level, that will quickly turn the game into a bullet-hell. There is almost no down-time for action, feels like the game was initially designed as a on-rail shooter in the best way possible. The campaign can be beaten in less than an hour, but the game is good enough to stick around for replaying on higher difficulty and trying endless modes. Although, bosses become a bit too bullet-spongy on High for my taste. Stylized minimalistic visuals look timeless in VR and perform well. And some effects(like bullet collisions and transition between main menu and levels) are quite beautiful. Works on Reverb G2, but in-game hands are misaligned. Thankfully, it is barely noticeable when aiming with laser pointer
Ark&Ade is really fun and replayable. It is extremely immersive and memorable thanks to its bHaptics support.
Wow! By far the best arcade shooter in VR yet. I am a sucker for the style but really the levels, the musical score and the game play loop is really just so well designed. Each campaign level is an ode to a popular type of media of the time and the difficulty really emulates the challenge of games from the 80's. The game can get really physically demanding on harder modes, or you can play the game casually on normal. There is ton of replay value, trying to accomplish all the achievements (some which I swear may be darn near impossible) and the arena modes are the icing on the cake. There are leaderboards, a campaign, and the gameplay loop is just plane addictive. My only thought is that as far as I know, there is no pause button mid level, which may be a welcome addition for those that may need to pause mid level. Highly recommend. For the price you wont be disappointed. I am 5 hours through, only played the arena modes 4 times and just part way through the campaign on hard after beating the game on normal. Worth every penny!
great arcade style shooter with well done retro 80s synth graphics. only thing it missing is co-op
Do I like this Game .....No, I f****g LOVE it! You tube review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XG9aLX3NKAc I've been waiting for Vr since "The Lawnmower Man" - and ive played a few games, but this, at just over £7 is a masterpiece really. Its proper arcade shooter of the past In virtual reality. A lot of love had thought has gone into this, the bosses are great - the level design is great and the synth wave soundtrack is rocking! Replay value is high, why? Because it goes back to the roots of gaming. High score leaderboards! You have to get to the top of the world leaderboard - become the best. I'd like to see tournaments in the future!
It's an alright game. Pretty sure I nabbed it on a sale but for the cheap price, it was worth! Just a fun game if you want something to shoot.
Shoot stuff is fun. Dodging stuff makes good tired. Fun VR shooter (that is not on rails) with some nice bosses at end of each level and cool aesthetics.
