Loved by millions, played for centuries, backgammon is a two-player strategy game quite unlike any other. The goal is simple: race to get your checkers off the board first. The deceptively deep rules and rhythm of backgammon has secured it as a favourite among casual and veteran players alike.

Backgammon Blitz { BB } is a fair representation of Backgammon game-play ... Good enough to keep up one's "skill" and pass the time. However, BB has some shortcomings. The "Master" AI is poorly programmed in its end-game tactics and often one may overcome significant deficits with patient block building. I don't consider myself particularly skilled but maintain over an 80% win ratio at Master ... SHAME, AI !! Also, the statistics maintained do not include some categories "somewhat" significant in Backgammon ... E.G., no tabulations for # of Gammons nor # of Backgammons. And, since the "Doubling Cube" is included, the omissions of Player vs AI wins at 2X, 4X, 8X, etc., is glaringly absent. Still BB is worth playing to kick off the dust and pass time. PS: I wish it had included a variant to enable playing ACEY-DEUCEY ... For a really wild side of the Backgammon universe :steammocking:
Dice are fixed and I frequently receive the following msg:- "An unexpected error occurred in Backgammon Blitz. The error has been reported to VooFoo and we hope to have this resolved in an update". To date, over the past year, I have received this message five times. Of course, the game also crashes!

I just started playing Backgammon Blitz and so far I like it very much. I am going to start using some of the features that apply to the game. I think it be very benefitial to the game. I love the game of Backgammon.
This game is ok but has not been maintained for years and is slowly falling apart!
이제는 온라인이 가능하나 사람이 없어서 아쉽습니다. 백개먼 갤럭시나 히어로즈보다 성공했으면 좋겠다.
Beautiful graphics on the lovely looking boards, I would actually buy one of those workshop designer sets if I could. Only recently learned how to play Backgammon, and do really like the game. Before this I had tried one on the Nintendo DS 42 classic games, but the computer really did cheat you, and I mean like every time it threw the exact dice it needed to win. Of course any number is possible, so of course it can and will on this game too, it is frustrating when you have blocked off so much and the appalling regularity which which the CPU manages to hit what it needs. I'm still quite a beginner and not knowledgeable enough to say how good the CPU strategy is. I didn't try online, I had read the reviews and many people were moaning about this, but if online's that important there are loads of free websites you can play others. Just won't have such pretty boards as this game. The 'Blitz' mode. Meh. I'd guess the powerups would be more used on another person when you can see and hear their reaction. Not much fun early on when you don't have any and the CPU uses them on you. All that said, for the low price, I've had some amusement from it and learned a bit more strategy just by playing. So, yeah, If you like Backgammon game, this is a nice-looking solid offline version.
Wish the AI was harder.
Looks fine, plays fine, has dumb AI offline and ghost matchmaking services. I have yet to be able to find any online opponents despite seeing what appears to be an active leaderboard. Good thing it was cheap. Uninstalling, please wait.
