The game follows his military triumphs from fighting alongside his father, the trailblazing Philip II, to his clashes with the vast Persian army of King Darius III and finally to his invasion of India as he sought to reach the “end of the world” in the East. Arete (pronounced “ah-reh-TEE”) is a Greek word that means a combination of “excellence” and “virtue,” and in Ancient Greece it held particular significance as a concept of being in constant pursuit of the greater good through one’s heroic deeds.

j'ai hésité a mettre un pouce rouge car, ce que propose le jeu, correspond à ce que l'on en pense avant l'achat. c'est a dire un wargame plateau à l'ancienne avec des pions à pousser et des jets de dés. Le second élément positif est le nombre de scénario " historique" enfin autant qu'ils puissent l'être compte tenu de la rareté des sources Alors pourquoi presque un pouce rouge ? Ce n'est pas parce que l'on adapte un jeu à l'ancienne sur PC qu'il faut obligatoirement faire une interface nulle. Elle est fonctionnelle pas de problème. Mais, trois clics pour chaque actions pas de clic droit. des sons casi inexistant. Des effet de combats inexistant. pas de raccourcis pour valider le Roll des dés ... Pénible Bref une ergonomie et une esthétique très très bof De plus 1) je m'attendais à une campagne dynamique avec des troupes au départ et un suivi. Que nenni, la campagne, c'est les scénarios des batailles dans l'ordre chronologique, point barre ! Bref je ferais certainement la plupart des batailles car c'est rapide à jouer et l'Ia n'est pas mauvaise mais pour plus de FUN, prenez FOG (Field of...) Je n'ai pas testé le multi. Attendre trois jours que l'adversaire fasse son tour m'ennui
It offers an interesting setting in the antique with enough unique gameplay mechanics to make this worth trying out if you generally like turn based strategy. I recommend it.
