Areia: Pathway to Dawn

I'm not a good on making reviews, so I will just share my experience with the game. The sound tracks are really good, makes you feel immersed on the universe and gives a good vibe. The beginning is a little bit too long and the puzzles are simple and in the same style (would be awesome to have different types of puzzles in the next episodes). If you enjoyed the game "Journey", high chances of you enjoying this one. Generally speaking I loved the game and was totally worth the money! Highly recommended!

Uma aventura bem interessante, sem inimigos e com uma jogabilidade bem intuitiva. Basicamente, você deve solucionar alguns puzzles e encontrar áreas que conseguem sentar para meditar. O jogo inteiro é uma experiência visual e sensorial, com uma atmosfera bem relaxante. Ele é realmente bem focado nisso, então prepare-se para ficar andando pelo deserto e ver gradativamente o sol nascer e se por. Constantemente você se sentirá perdido, mas acredito que isso faça parte da experiência que o jogo quer passar. Digo até que apesar de ser um jogo em 3D, ele consegue ser casual. A trilha sonora dele é bem zen, ajudando a manter a atmosfera tranquila do jogo. Para mim, a história dele não ficou muito clara, há pouquíssimos textos. Me parece que há referências aos chakras nas fases. Realmente, não tenho como fazer pontes sobre o tema do jogo, pois conheço muito superficialmente os conceitos do hinduísmo. :/ Para quem está a procura de um jogo para manter-se ocupado e sem preocupação com dificuldade, esse aqui cai muito bem! :)

I understand the difficulty indie devs have to face, so I give this game a thumb up. But the game itself doesn't resonate with me enough for me to keep playing. And there are some petty technical problems here and there, like when the protagonist is climbing up a hill, the movement of their feet feels unnatural.

Areia is a relaxing adventure game filled with puzzles that are challenging yet never frustrating. The game has a great visuals and soundtrack to boot. Definitely recommend picking this one up!

Ich bin noch unschlüssig was ich über Areia denken soll. Ich hatte einige Glitches (u.a. bin ich öfter durch die Map gefallen) und flackernde Reflektionen der Oberflächen. Der Charakter lief zudem seltsam über den Sand. Es sah so aus, als ob die Füße Plastik herunterdrücken würden und dazwischen noch Luft hereingepresst wurde. Es sah mir schlichtweg zu unrealistisch aus. Da ich zusätzlich die Maussensibilität nicht einstellen konnte, wurde mir zwischendurch etwas übel. Die Rätsel waren mir persönlich zu wiederholend. Im Grunde hat man immer das gleiche getan, bloß in anderer Umgebung. So richtig erforschen konnte man die Welt auch nicht. Hm. Schade.

If you are looking for a peaceful and calming game, Areia is a really good one to try! Its beautiful environments and really cool traversal and puzzle mechanic make it an incredibly beautiful experience.
