Its a really solid stealth game. Some chapters are longer than others and in the middle of the chapter if you get a save checkpoint its local to that play session. If you quit and start the game again, it starts from the beginning of the chapter. Other than that its pretty fun

not a bad game, but it is mid. get bored very quick. repetitive
Aragami is a stylish and atmospheric stealth game that delivers a satisfying ninja power fantasy with a unique supernatural twist. While its shadow-based mechanics and beautiful art style make it a standout in the indie stealth genre, repetitive level design and occasional technical issues hold it back from being a true masterpiece. The strongest aspect of Aragami is its core gameplay. The ability to manipulate shadows, teleport between darkened areas, and summon shadow-based abilities gives you a great sense of power while maintaining the tension of traditional stealth. The game encourages a methodical approach, rewarding players for either eliminating enemies silently or slipping past them undetected. The lack of a direct combat system enhances the feeling of vulnerability, making every encounter feel meaningful. The art style is another highlight, with a cel-shaded, minimalist aesthetic that creates a visually striking world. The mix of Japanese-inspired environments and supernatural elements gives the game a unique identity, making it feel distinct from other stealth titles. The story, while not groundbreaking, is engaging enough to keep you invested in the protagonist’s quest for revenge. However, Aragami does have its drawbacks. The level design, while initially intriguing, can become repetitive, with missions often boiling down to sneaking past similar-looking guards and navigating similar structures. The AI is serviceable but sometimes inconsistent, either being too predictable or occasionally spotting you from seemingly impossible angles. The controls, while mostly smooth, can occasionally feel clunky when executing precise movements, especially when teleporting between shadows. Despite these issues, Aragami remains a solid stealth experience that offers a fresh take on the genre. Its shadow-based mechanics are fun to use, and the game’s atmosphere is immersive enough to keep you engaged through its relatively short runtime. It may not reinvent stealth gameplay, but for fans of the genre looking for something unique, it’s definitely worth a playthrough. Rating: 7/10 – A stylish and creative stealth game with great mechanics, but some repetitive design choices.
