Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Thus, the price of the Steam version was updated to reflect inflation and current pricing standards. The console version currently does not (as of 2025) have Anodyne Remastered.
Content Warnings (Light spoilers)
Low-res pixel art (like in the style of the screenshots of): Suicide by hanging, mild horror, murder by blunt objects, dead bodies, stabbing, blood stains, mentions of sex, unexpected killing of an NPC. Rare strong language. Note this isn't representative of the majority of the game, but it is unavoidable.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Of course everyone has already talked about how this is like an awesome 2D Zelda game but hey. It does a dang good job of it. Thoroughly engaging the whole way through.
This game is...fine. It feels of its time in a way that isn't helping it. I wouldn't recommend it to a modern player unless you're a big classic zelda fan. I'm very hopeful for the sequel.
Loved it, and i don't even like games

I go back and play this game every few years. It's one of the few that has stuck with me long-term. So melancholic and cerebral. Can't recommend enough.
This game is exactly what a player with nostalgia for the old Zelda gameplay (basically a top-down Metroidvania) should experience. This game has really good bosses, nice and interesting puzzles/platforming, a funny sense of humor, a big variety of moods and areas and, most importantly, it flows smoothly. It's never boring, and it never feels overstretched or insanely difficult only for the sake of gameplay length. The difficulty curve is fair and sometimes challenging, but it is not a game that hates you. The only odd aspect of the game is the portrait format of the screen and maybe the needed control remap. As for that, I probably appreciated the game more because it was played on a Steam Deck, which boosts the experience heavily, adding the old Game Boy effect for old dudes like me. 8/10 Bonus: The game has some things that scream "8-hour YouTube speculation video" all over the place.
Delightfully surreal. I love exploring the disparate environments and talking to characters who seem to be comfortable in their own context without directly acknowledging the absurdity of the larger setting. Also love any top-down Zelda style game that has jumping.
I've not played a lot of classic zelda to completion but this game was a breath of fresh air in its design and narrative. a very cute game that made me smile
Charming and fun, I love the dialogue and writing aspects. It doesn't take itself too seriously and I enjoy that most. The pixel art is also very appealing to me. I have enjoyed getting lost in this world and discovering new areas.
A fun shorter Zelda like with a focus on exploration and discovery. You won't be collecting many items on your quest, but you will be learning how to do more with the ones you already have in fun yet simple ways. The variety in it's environments is a particular treat, as each one is absolutely dripping with unique atmosphere. The whole game game is very dream like and ethereal, leaving much up to interpretation. If you don't enjoy the act of interpretation the story of this game may not be for you (though I still think the gameplay stands as good on its own), but if you do find meaning in searching for questions in the cracks between then you will be richly rewarded.
