About
As governor, how you build and govern will shape your story, your citizens’ destiny, and your provinces’ future. Will you cooperate with other governors or prove your military prowess by challenging your rivals? The cost of peace is yours to decide.
Build your provinces with unmatched detail, flexibility, and scale. Watch kids chase dogs through the streets or thousands cheer in the arena. Build upon the land that you see, from the beautiful heartland of Latium to the mysterious Celtic wetlands of Albion… where no civilized Roman wants to be.
Design the cities of your dreams at the peak of the Roman Empire as you balance your people's needs with the relentless demands of the emperor. Forge alliances across the empire or showcase your might with strategic land battles and naval combat. You may even defy the emperor himself – but not without consequences.
Every decision you make as governor matters. Will you honor local Celtic culture or enforce Roman traditions? Grow your provinces through diplomacy and commerce or conquer through military strength. Your choices will shape not only the future of your citizens and your provinces, but your own story as well.

It is not perfect and you have to lower your expectations a bit if you expect Anno 1800 plus DLC worth of content. But there is enough fun to be had to warrant a recommendation from me.
Ubisoft account login is is a cluster frustration, refunded this "game" with a angry mood. Bah
Trying to connect to Ubisoft is like trying to pull your own teeth. Very painful, very sporadic, always frustrating. Typical 20-30% success rate...
Its just a lackluster of a game. Does not compare to the other Anno's at all (wtf was that campaign?).
The game itself is well made and addictive. I found the campaign dragged on a bit and wasn’t a fan of the story / dialogue, but sandbox mode is exactly what I wanted in building cities, managing production, and figuring out systems. Unfortunately, Ubisoft Connect DRM makes the game unreliable to launch. I’ve had multiple instances where it would not start while using VPN, even though I was freshly logged into Steam, Ubisoft Connect, and Ubisoft’s support site. Ubisoft’s connectivity page for my game showed launch attempts hitting their servers with matching timestamps, so this does not appear to be an authentication issue. It's more like Ubisoft doesn't want customers encrypting their own data with a VPN. Which is ridiculous. Changing VPN servers does not consistently fix it, and the troubleshooting results have been inconsistent. The game has worked on VPN before, failed with VPN on, failed after toggling VPN off/on, then suddenly worked after repeated attempts. One time logging into Ubisoft website before game launch seemed to resolve it. I know there's at least a VPN issue because after turning VPN off tonight, game launched immediately. Turned VPN back on while game's open and get a connectivity lost error. All other websites were working fine through same VPN connection. Bottom line is the launcher/DRM blocks paying customers from accessing the product they bought. Great game with frustrating DRM. I enjoyed the actual gameplay, but I would not buy it again in current state.
Its a fun game but Ubisoft connect is the worst and ruins it. I can't even play it at all sometimes cause I just gett an error that tells me to try again later and even when I get it to work sometimes it just crashes randomly.
"This product cannot be activated right now, please try again later". I bought this game Ubisoft, thx...
This is the first anno game that I have to give a thumb down. It is very buggy almost one year after release, and the game looks good, but lacks charm of the previous anno games. It is sad to to see the fall of a franchise.
a game made for DLCs, feels very shallow.
