About
As governor, how you build and govern will shape your story, your citizens’ destiny, and your provinces’ future. Will you cooperate with other governors or prove your military prowess by challenging your rivals? The cost of peace is yours to decide.
Build your provinces with unmatched detail, flexibility, and scale. Watch kids chase dogs through the streets or thousands cheer in the arena. Build upon the land that you see, from the beautiful heartland of Latium to the mysterious Celtic wetlands of Albion… where no civilized Roman wants to be.
Design the cities of your dreams at the peak of the Roman Empire as you balance your people's needs with the relentless demands of the emperor. Forge alliances across the empire or showcase your might with strategic land battles and naval combat. You may even defy the emperor himself – but not without consequences.
Every decision you make as governor matters. Will you honor local Celtic culture or enforce Roman traditions? Grow your provinces through diplomacy and commerce or conquer through military strength. Your choices will shape not only the future of your citizens and your provinces, but your own story as well.

Kauft euch 1800.
Why is the man on the cover art black lol, why do these guys continue to do these things?
I don't understand people. Of course if Ubisoft Connect is a dealbreaker for you, then dont buy it, thats valid... but how can anyone criticize it for being too simple, lacking content, worse than anno 1800 ???? It a game with 1 DLC (right now Q2 2026) Anno 1800 had YEARS too fix its problems and add content, it has dozen of DLC's. Anno 117 has objectively more content than Vanilla RELEASE Anno 1800. Personally I love the style, the time period and the input/control improvement, UI is too focused on consoles yes, but that not something youll think about after like the third time you open the game. AND BTW, if everybody continues to play Anno 1800 and refuses to play newer titles with less release content, then no company will continue too develop new games, since obviously they wont make money from them, if nobody plays them for the first 3 years .... EDIT: The fact that I bought the gold edition with the Y1 pass and I have to buy 2 out of the 3 released extensions within year 1, almost made me change my review to negative, but since its only cosmetic stuff I will not yet do that. Still that is a disgusting thing by ubisoft, my pity to the developer, who probably didnt make that decision and will now get the hate/bad reviews/ etc

Dojebana gra a z każdym nowym dlc będzie jeszcze bardziej dojebana
I've already realized that playing house isn't for me, not even becoming a Roman god. The idea of building cities and having economic strategies is good, but it's very limited in other things like the story. There are so few characters, and the maps, viewed from the minimap, look like you're playing in a 4x4 box. Everything looks small before zooming in on the islands; then everything looks big – an optical illusion. I've never had a feeling like I was playing on such a small map. Graphically it's cute, but the menus are as basic as possible. I don't even know if I should recommend it or not, but since it didn't impress me, I won't.
