Shape the Roman Empire in this genre-defining strategic builder game. Build cities while expanding your influence through Roman provinces. Govern using your economic prowess, diplomatic skills, or military might.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About
As governor, how you build and govern will shape your story, your citizens’ destiny, and your provinces’ future. Will you cooperate with other governors or prove your military prowess by challenging your rivals? The cost of peace is yours to decide.
Build your provinces with unmatched detail, flexibility, and scale. Watch kids chase dogs through the streets or thousands cheer in the arena. Build upon the land that you see, from the beautiful heartland of Latium to the mysterious Celtic wetlands of Albion… where no civilized Roman wants to be.
Design the cities of your dreams at the peak of the Roman Empire as you balance your people's needs with the relentless demands of the emperor. Forge alliances across the empire or showcase your might with strategic land battles and naval combat. You may even defy the emperor himself – but not without consequences.
Every decision you make as governor matters. Will you honor local Celtic culture or enforce Roman traditions? Grow your provinces through diplomacy and commerce or conquer through military strength. Your choices will shape not only the future of your citizens and your provinces, but your own story as well.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

如果你是新接触纪元系列,建议直接1800。如果你是只玩了纪元1800再玩这个,会感觉很不适应,建议体验一下1404再来玩。
Bleibt alles in allem weit hinter Anno 1800 zurück.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 5: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best DE #12, worst MX #94 · 7 markets collected
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.67/day in the week to Jul 21 → 6.8/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An unfinished mess. Go play anno 1800 instead. Ubisoft will never be able to make any good games again.
I really wanted to love this Anno, I really did but even ignoring the AI ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game is just not polished enough. I encountered several game breaking bugs relating to slotting resources (perma removing slots by trying to slot coal) and trade route ai just doing w/e they feel like resulting in duplications on trades. Trying to go over to the "new world" introduced me to a bug that made it so that the fog of war never goes away until you deploy foot soldiers on an island. Like others have also stated there seems to be a structure to this game that encourages dlcs and addons rather than being a fully fleshed out game. Stability seems to be a huge issue with this game too. I've NEVER had to "beat" a game into submission. Played in the same room with my brother and we found ourselves often having to reset the game to reinvite one other because the game would suddenly drop the connection, this shouldn't be an issue on fiber. Aside from that, this game freezes and crashes frequently. We have lost plenty of progress because the game decided it wanted to freeze/crash when one of us was upgrading in mass or swapping provinces. There was also a notable frame rate drop the longer a session was running. With what my settings are, I shouldn't really be having any of these issues. I find it hard to recommend. I do however recommend going back to 1800 for a more fleshed out experience.
As someone who already buttered in hundreds of hours into anno games I was eager to buy this game at realease; a rare act of game aquisitioning I only do about 1 or 2 times a year. And it was not worth it, sadyl. While I love anno and also history, this should check all the boxes! But the anno feeling just did not came up for me. Additionally they released it with a broken campaing; it just ended in the middle of the story. Maybe I will try this again in 3-6 Years when the dlc's will be on sale.
