After playing Angels Fall First for the better part of a month or so, I can say with confidence that this game absolutely oozes the atmosphere of old school shooters like Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefield, with many comparisons able to be drawn between another similar game: Planetside 2. The game ain't perfect, its got several issues some of which are greater than others but it's far from a worthless package. There's a wide variety of maps between Infantry and Space combat, with two gamemode types for each that offer somewhat different takes on the game formula of point capture. The balancing of Weaponry, Armor and equipment changes drastically between these two gameplay styles simply due to the difference between a Soldier and a Spaceship. Both offer intense, hectic gameplay and an emphasis on teamplay. This ain't no Team Deathmatch! All equipment is available to you from the start, with your only limiting factor being the Budget system. Everything costs points in one of three categories, and as you level those up through gameplay you'll earn more Budget to spend on kitting yourself out better than before. Apart from this, Progression more or less doesn't exist here. Easily the best part of AFF is the bots. Offline bots are provided that can play on every single map, and they are for the most part; very well made. There are a few maps where the bots are very obviously bots, and sometimes break or act up due to this. But for the most part the bots allow you to get theoretically unlimited replayability out of this game. Even if the players leave and the servers are left fallow, the bots are always there to fill your lobbies. There are some things I don't like about AFF though. Equipment balancing is one such take I have a gripe with. Some of the gear feels genuinely oppressive to fight against, particularly when against players of exceptionally higher skill who know the game inside and out. The worst of them all, in my opinion is the Detpack, a remote or proximity explosive that can be thrown out and attached to the environment, or to players and deals massive damage with an explosive payload. The Detpack is so unbelievably powerful that to not use it feels like I'm neutering myself. Both factions also have some exclusive guns and sometimes it feels as though you are punished for being on one team rather than the other, due to differences in the balance of those exclusive weapons. I do think that anybody who picks this game up needs to understand this isn't Team Deathmatch. The objective is the key, always. It's going to challenge you in ways alot of other games of this day and age do not. And I can say the experience is absolutely worth it, if not just for the bots alone. Every element comes together to make something pretty dang good. Despite my gripes with it, and the fact I LOATHE PvP with a flaming passion, this is a game worth playing. Bonus Fact: This game can run on a potato. My specs are ASS and I can play this without much in the way of issues.

this game is actually really fun its got an early 2000's halo 3 graphics which I know isn't for everyone but the game play is amazing and surprisingly complex. my only complanate is that there isn't enough players to play with. So everyone please play.
So glad this game didn't turn in to abandonware, it feels like playing planetside, battlefront, and older battlefield all mashed into one. Very fun low-stakes game to get that early 00's shooter vibe back to. Also being able to play offline with bots makes this an instant 10/10 for someone like me.
what a great, great game. this is a mix of Halo and Battlefront / Battlefield with meaningful vehicle combat. lots of customization options based on a rewarding command point system. Give it a chance you will not regret it.
Unpolished.
Such a well rounded game. Play any way you like. Mod guns, armor, support equipment... great depth.
I see the potential, but in it's current state I can't recommend Angels Fall First
Imagine if Halo got combined with Battlefield. Super fun game, and a great community.
