Short and sweet hidden gem of a game. Great music. Great little story. Ended up beating the game, getting all the achievements and secret orb weapon on a single sitting. Less than a hour and a half I did everything and i'm honestly happy cause I don't have much time these days for gaming and it's nice to burn through a short but enjoyable experience. Totally recommend for a 3d Metroid like game with rocket jumping once you get the rocket launcher.
very fun little search-action-y vania-ish fps. have yet to find anything this dev puts out that i didnt at least find very enjoyable. (for propriety's sake: the final log appears to be bugged and doesnt appear, but the game is fully completable & a coherent story without it, dont worry about it if this happens to you too)
an interesting little romp, wish there was more
Short and sweet Metroid Prime esque fps game.
Love the overall look of the game, and the gameplay was a lot of fun! I didn't really get stuck concerning where to go, which is often a concern in this type of game for me.
Its pretty satisfying how the alien world's level design loops in on itself as you get new guns that let you open up new areas. Nice short Unreal-esque shooter with that signature poppy lowpoly Renegade Sector look
I really loved this game, the soundtrack, the design, the platforming, the combat and puzzles are all incredible. Great for fans of 90s shooters, retro science fiction, and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It isn't a long game, but I got my money's worth.
(A-) Memorable but short FPS with heavy emphasis on exploration and choosing your fights/path; fighting bosses gives access to better weapons, which is a pretty minimal form of upgrades, but with all the exploration it's definitely a Metroidvania. Perhaps if the game was longer it would start to feel threadbare, but the game is set in one single integrated level, which is large by FPS standards, but then again there's only one level. There's a story told by diary entries that I skipped but in retrospect I regret that, as what story I did ingest was pretty good. At first glance this might look like yet another retro FPS that reaches even further back than doom, but in fact the game is fully 3d with caves and overpasses, etc. But the colors are definitely EGA. Also, it's not really a retro FPS, more of a zelda with guns (I guess that's called a metroidalike?). It's not terribly difficult; although you will die plenty there are lots of restore points scattered around so you don't lose that much progress and half of the point is figuring out where things are and how to get there without too much fighting (at least until the end where you arsonal kills everything almost immediately).
cute small little game :3
The first-person metroidvania is one of my favorite types of game; shame there are so few of them. This is a pretty good example.
