Amnesia: Rebirth

If you enjoy the lore aspects of the Amnesia games, This could work for you. While puzzles and the enjoyable backtracking TDD brought forth is toned down (which is honestly something I enjoyed, even if I needed a guide for the cistern section), it's swapped for more visually intriguing enviroments and more rich lore of characters. I myself, do not enjoy the match mechanic, where in TDD tinderboxes were used to light one lightsource, in rebirth, matches are used for a incredibly short length of light, and are found in batches of 1-3. Darkness in this game is also less oppressive visual wise, but drains your sanity so much quicker, and the flashes of monstrous faces are disorienting to me personally. You'll also learn this roughly a hour in but you play as a woman in late stage pregnancy, I find it hard to relate to personally, and.. kind of odd, it doesn't feel like something you'd typically see in a horror game, which is a cool step in a ... different direction. While overall a good game on it's own, I don't find myself really enjoying it too much. 6/10

While probably the weakest part of the series, it is still a great game; therefore, I will only focus on positives here. Like every Frictional game, it delivers great graphics, superior sound design and delicious gothic atmosphere. Like every Amnesia game, it leans way more to the gothic than cosmic horror side, with its unique take on alchemy, legends of vampires, ancient bloodlines, and hollow Earth. After The Dark Descent, we were left with more questions about Alexander's home world, true origins of Gatherers and above all - Tin Hinan. This game has the answers. Now, with soundtrack that is not nearly as memorable as Tarmia's work on first Amnesia (and I don't think that would even be possible), this game still has some excellent moments, especially as the game progresses. Is this game perfect? No, it is not. Is it a good gaming experience? Absolutely. Guys from Frictional have created something great and hopefully they'll keep on exploring this universe that still has much to offer.

Pregnancy Simulator! ive always wanted to give birth in a video game ! good stuff 7.5/10 .. i wish the stalker sections where u need to find away out were better and more thought out.

Great art direction but is only an Amnesia game by name. If you're looking for something scary, play The Dark Descent or The Bunker instead, because most of this game is a walking simulator with very easily avoidable enemies.

Kompletnie mnie nie wciągnęła. Gra była dla mnie nudna, tempo jest bardzo powolne, a fabuła nie potrafiła zainteresować. Klimat nie rekompensuje monotonnej rozgrywki. Moim zdaniem szkoda wydawać na nią pieniądze – są dużo lepsze horrory w tej cenie.
