All On Board!

Las primeras partidas han sido una experiencia muy buena, la verdad es que la relación calidad - precio me ha sorprendido bastante teniendo en cuenta que si un amigo tuyo tiene un DLC tú también puedes entrar a jugar ese juego como invitado, aunque no lo tengas. Los controles son intuitivos y la experiencia en general te permite concentrarte en el juego de mesa, cosa clave, porque tú mismo tienes que aprenderte las normas y las mecánicas de los juegos (aunque desde la plataforma puedes consultar las instrucciones como si estuvieras en la mesa). En general, buena opción para pasar un buen rato chill con tu grupo de amigos.

I honestly have been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to figure out if I should mark this review as positive or negative. You really need a neutral button, Steam. I suppose if I could rate this game out of 10, I'd give it a 6. I guess I should just start writing and see what falls out of my head... I played this with friends last night. The social aspect was great! I also really like how each game gets its own custom setting that's themed based on the game. So, yeah, boardgames. Boardgames rock! This game suffers from a lack of options, though. Even if you buy all the DLC, you don't get that many choices. Maybe they are planning to add more in the future. I hope so, but honestly for the price of everything, I just am not super impressed. The interface is absolutely awful. It's hard to interact with menus, game objects, and other players. We played Aye, Dark Overlord last night and I was the overlord. It took me a good 10 minutes to figure out how to give another player a withering look. I'd point at a player and it didn't seem to matter. Other players were having trouble interacting with the game pieces (picking up cards, and putting the cards in the portal in the center of the table --- the portal often did not accept the card and the card would become stuck under the table). At one point our Host lost connection (internet issues) and it kicked us all out of the game. Why couldn't someone else take over as host so we didn't lose our progress? That was a dissapointing end to the evening because no one was in the mood to restart after all our progress/time had been lost. And for Pete's sake, it's 2026? Why the (explicative deleted) are snap turn or no turn at all the only available turn options. That's just lazy development. I normally give games negative reviews solely based on lazy VR movement implementation alone because I find snap turn incredibly disorienting and it gives me a headache (and breaks immersion). The menu and interface in general are unintuitive. You join a multiplayer game and your mic is muted. Can you fix that in the Audio menu? No. We eventually found where to fix that, but then started another game and did our mic settings save? No. On toip of that, the menu buttons just seem difficult to interact with in general. So as I write this it hits me that if not for my friends, I would probably refund this as it is in its current state. And so I guess in that respect, I've decided to mark this review as negative. I think there is a TON of potential here. I hope it gets realized.
