About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

Alien is one of my favourite franchises ever. I played the first game but honestly it simply didn't capture me that much. It didn't feel like Aliens. I am obsessed about fireteam elite 2! It just feels like Aliens, i love the atmosphere, they just nailed it. Level design is way better. Also love the sound and music. The gameplay is very similar to the first but again this time it just feels better. The made some QoL changes that are very welcome , 4 player co-op instead of 3. Gameplay loop is addictive. I get it. Its a bit pricey , i was on the fence too, and i too was about to refund (partially because of the negativity). It has some bugs, some jank, the story is irrelevant, characters are hit and miss. But what can i tell you i am having FUN! Almost 12 hours of playtime ,as of now, that i really enjoyed.
I just wanna shoot aliens and this game lets me.

The first "Aliens: Fireteam Elite" was fantastically done, both in terms of gorgeous true-to-movie visuals as well as playability. This second installment builds even more on the first, including new, more devious enemies, all new game maps, new in-game voiceovers (one of my *favorite* aspects of the original AFE because of how well they were done), new weapons, new challenge cards and more. The music is also excellent (though a bit loud by default). At first I was a bit skeptical of paying for a whole new version of the game, thinking the changes wouldn't be significant enough to warrant the full price. But after playing for more 40 hours so far, I can definitely say it has been worth it, and I have hundreds more hours of gameplay to look forward to. This new version also has TONS more ways to tweak your build compared to v1. As before, there are 3 attachments per weapon, with many more attachment options/combinations than before. Some weapons/attachments now have different "modes" during battle, allowing you to change your fire rate, change your scope magnification, or switch to a secondary type of ammo (like explosive grenades). There are also now two additional ways to tweak each weapon, called "traits" and "augments", to provide additional benefits/configurations. And finally, there is a new "specialist" class that lets you create custom builds by combining different aspects/weapons from the other classes :). Overall, "Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2" has been extremely satisfying and engaging so far, and I look forward to many many more hours of gameplay!
Okay, after always putting off writing reviews, I’m going to leave my first one here. The game is great sure, there are a few minor bugs but if you loved the first part, you can't go wrong with this one. Some of the negative reviews are exaggerated.
Really enjoying the game, I liked the first game, and this one is alot of fun too so far. The dialogue I skip and dont think the story adds much to experience. Enjoying the chaos of multo challenge cards already, so definitely alot of scope for a coherent selection creating a crazy run.
Great game! It's different from the first AFE, which seemingly has upset a few people, but I don't understand why, as the changes are great and make the game so much more engaging. If you invest some time to unlock more gear and really understand the devs' design decisions, the game will make perfect sense. Otherwise, if you've just played only 30 minutes and written a nasty, unconstructive review, you've played yourself! Steam's requirements should honestly change about posting reviews - it will keep the braindead oafs out xD The graphics are amazing, the sound is too. And please, stop b*tching about the sound of the pulse rifle and unlock the proper one, before talking out of your a*s. The mark 2's sound is a bit muffled, the original pulse rifle, which unlocks at level 10, sounds fine. I haven't encountered a SINGLE technical issue - the game seems to be very well optimized and runs perfectly fine on my machine. Updated my drivers, before installing the game, and everything is smooth as silk. The gameplay is where it needs to be - the game forces you to use all of the resources and weapons at hand to deal with the relentless hordes of enemies. In this regard AFE1 lacked quite a bit, because you could cheese your entire playthrough by relying on a single challenge card and a couple of abilities. Now that I think about it, this might be the sole reason why so many trolls have left nasty reviews - they just want a walk-in-the-park sort of an Aliens game. Well, I suppose, if that's your cup of tea, then go play something that lacks depth. Lastly, the story so far is not mind-blowing, but it definitely has its memorable moments and missions. Furthermore, it's not really that important in a game like this and it definitely wouldn't sway me into not recommending this game to my friends. This game was made to be fun, deep in terms of fight tactics and class customization, all the while showing proper respect to the franchise, and it does all of those things really well. $50 is a good price for something that will be played for a few hundred hours. Specifically for the trolls - put some effort into learning the ins and the outs of the game first, before reacting like a 12 year old to this review. Cheers!
The game is alright, but these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stutters and freezes are unbearable ffs
Very sad how this game is $50 and when you get past stage 2 it seems like the enemies are not even completed. They are so pixelated and laggy that you cant even tell what the robots or the guys who look like farmers are. Its clunky, laggy, crashes, is dead to even find a group. Companies making 30% of the game and then releasing it is embarrassing. It is worth about $15-$19 if you already have 3 other that will play. But charging more than that is a joke.
Playing on Steam Deck OLED. Major improvements over the first game, I'm very pleased so far. Played several hours, all with player teammates. The player character's movements are vastly improved- multiple speeds for walking/running, can crouch now, crouching while moving animations are good. My main problem with the first game was the character's movements. The maps are much more interesting now, they may still be mostly linear but there's the feeling of a non-linear space. I liked the decision to have us unlock the classic pulse rifle later- in the first game I obviously loved the gun and maxxed it out very quickly. Wanted to try other weapons but nothing was as fun as the standard M41A. So I had the best gun from the start is what I'm saying. In-game graphics are decent on SDeck, not the best performance but totally playable. Interacting with the crew on the Endeavour is infuriating. Experienced a fair few bugs but nothing particularly unusual for a just released game nowadays. Downloading a patch right now so they may have been sorted already. I
Ignore the negative reviews. this is a super fun game with a lot more build depth and variety to roles than the previous game. Worth the money. Still enjoying to play more of this game each day, even after completing the campaign. Definitely recommend buying this if you loved the first game.
