About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

Fantastic. More of the same - but it seems the perks go a little deeper this time :)
AFTE2 is hard to review, because playing the actual game can be fun with friends. The shooting feels powerful, the class abilities are nice and feel like they're actually useful. There are a lot of unlockable cosmetics and weapon attachments, so you can easily create your own version of the ultimate badass. However, everything else lacks polish. The dialog of the NPCs is incredibly cringe inducing (voice acting feels AI generated tbh) and the facial animations are uncanny. There is also way to much dialog in between mission. Don't get me wrong. I'm not against a lot of dialog, if it is actually worth listening to. But the story is very lackluster and the characters convey no emotion or urgency whatsoever. It just doesn't make you feel like being on a high risk mission, rescueing people from deadly aliens. The missions themselves feel very repetitive after a while. Go to a room, collect intel/wait for a door to open and fend of a wave of enemies. There are no random waves or encounters in between. Everything is scripted as far as I can tell, which limits the replayability immensely. There are also lot of bugs and optimization issues (not being able to pick up items in mission, random freezes of up to 5 seconds, crashes, I did the last mission 3 times and never saw the end cutscene because of a bug etc.).

Not bad game , its like AFE1 :)
At first, i gave the game back bc i felt weird, coming straight out of the first game and suddenly having issues even surviving in normal difficulty. but i am happy that i gave it an second extended chance. all my complaints went away after completing the game and coming to understand that the first campaign and first hours can't show what the game has to offer. this game has way more depth then the first one and improved on many of its flaws. you can build the craziest weapons and classes. u can level up the challenge cards and even place 4 at once. now even surviving extreme difficulty is possible. its a blast to play. but ... i miss the chaos of the first part, where u would get ambushed in the corridors with no end in sight if u took to long.
其實這遊戲的缺點不少。但因為好玩,所以還是推薦。
If you liked the first one, this one is similar. If you never played the first thats okay, still try this one! It's straight forward with lots of action. The movement is similar to gears of war imo. There is a good deal of weapon and character customization. It still is a little buggy but not to the point that it ruins the fun. Give them a little and they will work out the kinks. Overall Id give it a 7.5. Loot and shoot baby, and good luck smoking those Xenos - Stay frosty!!!
Awesome game.. takes a bit getting used to but once you get the hang of it, its all worth the effort.
Pretty good. No idea why they leave that dumb MSR graphics option on as default. Probably scared half the players away, dumpb arss colonists man. Should make fodder regular aliens less fodder also. Rest is pretty good.
TL;DR: Game fun if you like the first Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Cold Iron sticks to their guns and says - nothing wrong with the first one, lets give you a second helping of corn bread and you'll like it marine. Most of us say sure, some still have gripes left-over from the first on how this game could polish and become something truly great. My review is out of love, because I only want good things for Cold Iron with this franchise, but I gotta be honest. I like the gameplay and the location, graphics, kits and gunplay. the rest we need to talk about. Previous gripes that carry-over: We're ignoring my gripes about a third-person over the shoulder shooter in an age of Aliens games all being first person, because holy hell, having someone standing behind your character is annoying when you're trying to shoot things and you can't see when you naturally cluster together in an attempt to survive the onslaught in the open without equipment... because you still only have the two napalm mines, but loads of rec credits. I also still say that the music doesn't quite hit the mark for Aliens - should be heavily influenced by military snare riffs, strings, and they reuse a lot of tracks from the first game, There are far too many tracks that have this almost funny or playful vibe to them, those tracks do not match the setting or instruments. Hard to put into words outside of pulling me out of the aesthetic - wonder, intrigue, suspense, high stakes action... some of these songs do not make the vibe check. Music should get another pass, strongly recommend. The good: Classic pulse rifle! Wooo! The sound design of fighting at distance, close quarters and in the open, VERY immersive. Who doesn't like kit changes, specialist class choices - chef's kiss. Customizability of characters is back again. Continues the lore, new entries! The bad: ....And then I shot the pulse rifle - are these the actual sounds of the gun? It's confusing. What is this with getting tech like mines and grenades half-way through the story? And the gun mods, too? I know you're relying on replayability, but c'mon. Starting with 1 weapon in your signature slot to where you're pretty much playing with the smart gun for the entire story and you don't really get another weapon until half-way through is a little disappointing. Wish the story added to the progression of the timeline, where the first game provided new life into the whole of the lore and progression, this feels like it stagnates it by returning to form - Yet another colony, yet another alien invasion wiped them out, yet another W-Y alien experiment on the same xenos, yes it got out of control, but we never learn from our mistakes - Weyland-Yutani, probably... The ugly: Holy hell the facial animation is uncanny valley levels of bad on some of the character models, the irony that the only human-looking facial movement is on the synthetic, it's a decent bit jarring, just hoping it wasn't shopped out. Great to very mid/forced voice acting - Strongly suggest a second pass giving the voice actors a chance to play the game and see how their characters talk in the game - especially Raptor, he's just on the other side of cringe, I think partly due to the dialogue he had to work with, like he knew he wasn't quite in it or didn't know the motivation for his character when he ran his lines or who he was talking to. His character is very much not a captain, he would have suited being everyone's favorite grunt. Handing out accolades and callsigns like you wined and dined him at the worlds best steakhouse and blow job hut with a two-for-one deal. His adoration doesn't come off as genuine because you finished a tutorial as your hallmark moment... To the player, it's nothing special, and it shouldn't be. "Great job, grunt, glad you're not dead." Ko's grim gallows no-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ character fits better to her rank, her place in the game and treats the grunts as what they are - barely trained apes with guns, having played with other gamers myself, it's a realistic take for most of the people I've had the pleasure of playing with. The same: Gameplay is as enjoyable as the first game, but makes no changes or improvements besides the class system, cosmetics and weapons - relying on those to give replayability. Instead of completely new locations, the first few missions use the same map in reverse with some changes or additions. It's still move to X area, fight xenos on the way, hold area for swarm, fight swarm, move to next area. Some of the enemies are reimagined - I don't want to spoil anything as far whether there are new enemies or not, so I'm leaving that out. The intel now lights up, and is the same type of object.
