13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

First, I bought the Steam VR version, which didn't run very well on my Quest 3. Then I bought the Quest 3 standalone version, which isn't as graphically good, but was great to play. It's hard, scary, and (IMHO) really nails the Aliens vibe. I thought I'd also give this flatscreen version a try since it was on sale for 17 euros. The graphics are way better than the Quest standalone, but in VR—which is hard to explain to people who've never played it—that doesn't really matter. The VR experience is just very good in this game. That said, I also enjoy this flatscreen version. It's all done very well, although, at least on Normal, it is way easier than VR. When you panic in VR trying to reload your shotgun, half the shells fly all over the place, and if you forget to hold the rifle with both hands, you miss everything. Still, it’s well done, so I definitely recommend it if you like Aliens. Edit: I finished the game just under 6 hours. It is a good length and overall a great experience. Hopefully we will see part 2 in the future...
Last year, virtual reality was blessed with the release of Alien: Rogue Incursion – a VR game I enjoyed so much that it ended up being my Game of the Year. Since then, it has seen its way to traditional consoles as well as Steam to allow normal gamers to see what all the fuss is about. But will this made-for-VR experience fare just as well without all the virtual reality interactions, or will it feel as dead as the colonists in the game’s research facility? Well, there’s only one way to find out! Many thanks to the publishers for the review code. YET ANOTHER BUG HUNT Alien: Rogue Incursion places you in the role of Zula Hendricks, a former Colonial Marine whose service was cut short after a serious injury. Despite that, she’s far from done with the fight. Alongside her synthetic companion Davis 01, she remains committed to eliminating the Xenomorph threat wherever they pop up their elongated heads. Their latest mission takes them to LV-354, responding to a distress signal from an old friend, although as you can imagine, things don’t quite turn out as planned due to it being over-run by relentless ferocious bugs It’s a premise that leans heavily on familiar ideas from across the Alien universe, with several story beats that feel recognisable for anyone who is a fan of the franchise. Even so, the narrative still manages to stay engaging throughout. Much of that comes down to the strength of its characters, particularly Zula and Davis, whose dynamic is consistently well handled. Both undergo meaningful development over the course of the story, supported by strong voice performances that bring them to life. Zula is ripped straight from the extended universe, and I’m confident that any fans of her will be satisfied with the portrayal here. An an ex-marine, Zula is well-versed in a range of weaponry, and as such will be carrying out her mission using her Pulse Rifle, Shotgun, Revolver, and surprisingly useful supply of proximity grenades. They’re all very satisfying to use, even without the immersive interactions that made them shine in VR. It’s unfortunate that she has such a small arsenal at her disposal, but that’s an unfortunate side-effect of having a limited number of holsters in the virtual reality version. I can’t say this limitation proved all that problematic though, as it’s so much fun blasting these relentless and brutal Xenos that you won’t really care all that much – just make sure you’re not too wasteful with ammunition, as there’s only a limited amount available – and harsh language isn’t going to get you out of a tight spot. Of course, combat is only one part of the experience, as much of your time is spent exploring the research facility itself. It’s an impressively large complex, but progression is handled in a way that keeps things manageable, with many areas locked off until you have the right tools. Sometimes that’s as simple as finding a keycard with the correct clearance, whilst other times it requires a bit more effort. Early on, you’ll be redirecting power by rewiring electrical systems to open new routes, and later you’ll gain access to equipment like a plasma torch to cut through sealed doors. I had worried that such elements would feel out of place when not in VR, yet it works surprisingly well here. It’s not as satisfying as doing it yourself for sure, but with the added animations for Zula added into the game it still feels engaging. As for the exploration, it strikes a good balance of ensuring that you always know the way forward despite the vast size of the facility. The map plays a big role here, giving you a clear sense of direction while also pointing out important locations – most important of which are the Panic Rooms, which offer you a place to save your progress and often contain health and ammo for your journey ahead. They’re a brief respite from the dangers outside – just make sure you close the door properly behind you to prevent any fatal surprises! With a duration of around six hours or so on your first playthrough, the game manages to keep up a constant pace that manages to end before the gameplay loop starts to wear thin – and given the cheap asking price, it’s hard to really complain. It’s worth noting too that this is the first half of Zula’s story in LV-354, but still feels self-contained enough that you don’t feel like it’s necessary to wait for the second half in order to experience this one. As for the performance on the Steam Deck, I was quite pleased with how well it performed. Whilst some textures aren’t as impressive as they could be, it still looks great on the handheld with no notable drops in the game’s frame-rate outside of the loading areas – but given that you’re standing there waiting anyway, it’s not a huge deal. If you’re wanting to play the game on the go, then it feels like the perfect option – unless you opt for the marginally cheaper Nintendo Switch 2 version, of course!
