Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 16/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Alien was one of my Childhood traumas and i was always afraid of it. I am saying "was" because i beat the game. 10/10 experience. But I need a new pair of underwear.
Exquisite detail. Fun progression. While playing, I'm reminded that in space, no one can hear you scream.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

amazing!!
Alien Isolation is the first proper first-person survival horror game I have played. While I don’t have a particular fondness for those games, I do really like the Alien movies, and having a video game sequel to the first movie got me interested. The game starts with you being completely separated from your companions, Taylor and Samuels. I think that the game does a really good job of making you feel alone. Some survival horror games have really dumb ways of doing this, such as RE1, where characters WANT to split up. Nothing feels forced, and it feels like a very “Alien” style setup for the plot. I also like that there isn’t a Xenomorph for quite a few hours, and you just get to see the desperation and the terror that comes from knowing that something dangerous is on the ship, but you can’t quite tell what it is. When you do eventually encounter it, it’s an amazingly done introduction to a multi-hour hide-and-seek game with the Xenomorph. The AI behind it is probably the single best part of this game, because it learns from your playing style. You can distract it one way for a while and then It won't fall for your trap again. This makes you experiment and try new things to get away from it. I like that It feels real. Nothing ever feels robotic or fake, this is a real Xenomorph, and it is looking FOR YOU. However, once you blow the Alien out the airlock, the game just keeps going, and you just have to fight a bunch of robots for a few hours. This is definitly the worst part of Alien: Isolation, because it just doesn't know when to end and provide closure. It just keeps trying to top itself, and I was kind of sick of the game. Again, it's good, but it has no respect for your time. When you eventually do complete the 18th mission and Sevastapol crashes into the gas giant, It again tries to top itself with a final, bombastic end with Mission 19, or rather, "Glorified quick-time event" that feels more clunky then it does epic. I am of the opinion that this is a sort of dream sequence and that Amanda doesn't make it to Verlane's ship and just drifts off in space, but It doesn't really matter. Now that we got the meat and potatos out of the way, we just have the little things. The game runs really good on Steam, but limit it to 60fps so the physics don't break. I actually had to set it to 58fps due to the awful input delay on my controller. The sound design is also excellent. I played this game with headphones, and every single sound makes you feel unsafe at every single turn. I have not had my heart pound so fast in a video game before. The visuals also look really good for a 2014 release. It does look kind of old, but in a good way. There honestly isn't too much more to mention, It's just good. While Alien Isolation is amazing in some moments, it stumbles so much that I am disappointed that the second half of the game didn't live up to the first. If it actually ended at a reasonable point in the story, this game would be 10/10, but the mediocity in the second half knocks it down to an 8.5/10 Pretty good, all things considered. Good job, Creative Assembly.
"I want to state for the record", that this games fantastic and should be played by any fan of the series and also it hasn't aged a bit. Signing off./

Great atmosphere. Good gameplay and faithfulness to the alien franchise
I will start this review by saying, I'm not the kind of guy that likes horror games or movies, but this game is not the normal type of horror, the feeling of getting hunted by the creature is something I can't explain in words. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible, there's nothing else like this game. The sound design, the station creeking with every step, the creature scurrying through the vents, when you get spotted by the androids or hunted by the creature, the music shifts, it turns from quiet to better then even the thrilling movies, it's unmatched. Amazing game. Absolutely would recommend, doesn't matter if you like horror games or not.
