Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 16/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Interesting premise and execution, but it drags way too much. That pretty much sums up the game. The game looks amazing for its release year and still plays really well. The atmosphere and music are great for what it wants to achieve. Even if you aren't easily scared, all these factors will end up stressing you out so much that it actually feels like you're being hunted, which is one of the big selling points of this game. The Alien is genuinely terrifying and its AI gives it the feeling of a true predator... at least for the first few hours, which is where the biggest problem appears. It's way too long and ends up being just another action game interrupted by the occasional hiding sequence after a few hours. I'm now like 8 hours in, and that's not even a third of the overall game, which is just a drag. The story of the game is really basic, which is almost always a given for the survival horror genre. So there isn't much to talk about in that department. If there was some kind of compelling story, the length would be more justified and probably alone be the driving factor for people to experience more of the game. That being said, after these 8h I've played, it feels like I've seen everything already, and the other 15h or so would just be a giant waste of time. Overall, you can say that the game is well done and actually scary at first, but has one giant flaw, that being its runtime and repetitive nature. One of the few games I had to drop, sadly. Gotta respect my own time here.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

absolute cinema and scary game (though it does go on for a bit too long imo)
I don’t usually do this, but this game is a total disaster. As a massive fan of sci-fi and horror since I was a little kid, it makes me furious to write this, but I couldn't even finish this mess. It was so mind-numbingly boring that I had to drop it halfway through. Alien: Isolation isn't even a real horror game. The only true horror here is how poorly made this garbage is. The characters, especially the main character, are some of the most frustratingly shallow, poorly written characters I have ever seen in my entire life. They have absolutely zero personality and are a total joke. The gameplay is a completely miserable experience. This entire game is a massive waste of money and time. It is an absolute embarrassment to the sci-fi and horror genres. I should better give my money to a hooker than buy this game
this is a very good game i love the alien movies and i like when you use the flamethrower shooting at the alien and the alien just locks in and attacks you 10/10
Alien: Isolation is the only game where you spend 90% of your time crouching, 9% hiding in lockers, and the remaining 1% making a noise you swear was quiet enough… until the Xenomorph decides it wasn’t. It’s a horror masterpiece wrapped in a panic attack, sprinkled with comedy that comes entirely from your own terrible decisions. The Xenomorph: A Seven-Foot-Tall Anxiety Monster The alien in this game is not scripted. It is not predictable. It is not fair. It is a cosmic IRS agent hunting you for crimes you haven’t committed. It hears everything. It sees everything. It smells fear. You’ll be hiding under a table, holding your breath, praying to every deity you know, and the alien will casually stroll by like it’s checking the lunch menu. Sometimes it even hisses at you, which feels personal. Stealth: The Art of Pretending You Know What You’re Doing Alien: Isolation teaches you stealth by punishing you every time you forget you’re not a Navy SEAL. You’ll try to sneak around, but realistically you’ll: Knock over a chair Step on broken glass Accidentally sprint Open a door too loudly Breathe wrong Every mistake is followed by the sound of the alien dropping from a vent like a murderous ceiling spider. The Motion Tracker: Comforting Until It Betrays You The motion tracker is your best friend… until it isn’t. It beeps. It flashes. It tells you the alien is close. It also tells the alien you are close. Using it feels like checking your phone during a horror movie—comforting, but also a terrible idea. The Humans and Androids: Somehow Worse Than the Alien You’d think humans would be helpful. Nope. They shoot you on sight. The Working Joes (the androids) are even worse. They walk toward you slowly, calmly, politely… and then strangle you with the enthusiasm of a malfunctioning Roomba that hates your existence. Their glowing eyes alone are enough to make you reconsider your life choices. The Atmosphere: Beautiful, Terrifying, and Designed to Ruin Your Sleep The game nails the retro-futuristic aesthetic of the original Alien film. Every hallway looks like a place where someone definitely died. Every vent is a death sentence. Every flickering light is a warning. It’s immersive, stunning, and horrifying. You’ll love it. You’ll hate it. You’ll scream. The Comedy: Entirely Unintentional, Entirely Your Fault Alien: Isolation becomes hilarious when panic takes over: You throw a noisemaker directly at yourself You hide in a locker the alien is already walking toward You try to outrun it (you can’t) You press the wrong button and open a door instead of crouching You scream so loudly your neighbors check on you It’s terror mixed with slapstick, and it’s glorious. Verdict Alien: Isolation is one of the scariest, smartest, and unintentionally funniest horror games ever made. It’s tense, atmospheric, brutal, and unforgettable. It will make you sweat, swear, and question your survival instincts. It’s a masterpiece of fear… and a comedy show starring your own incompetence. If you want a game that will terrify you, humiliate you, and make you laugh at yourself, Alien: Isolation delivers. If you want a relaxing experience… play literally anything else.
If you're ever feeling constipated, this right here will do wonders. Be warned, might end up doing it in your pants, but hey ho better out than in.
Story is very good and game mechanics is also perfect.
