The game while promising still doesn't seem to be finished. The main part of the game, battles, is still very rough. Attacks and movements are clunky and some basic functionalities are missing. The game has a few good ideas, total army movements, balls, ... but I can't recommand getting it right now. If devs are reading here are a few ideas/comments : battle : - unit orientation is key in battle so you have to let the player decide how a unit will end up when moving. For instance when you want a unit to go back slightly it should not show it's back to ennemies. - Ui tends to be buggy when attacking a unit on the edge of the screen - using skirmisher's range attack doesn't show a menu like other attacks do. - archers and ranged siege unit should get extra range on hills. - Alexander should be able to charge. unit menu : - when units are leveling up you have to put back to the reserve to spend skill point. Very annoying. - unit's skill tree are all the same and very bland. - archers and commanders get a flat amount of xp in each battle and do no get experience the same way as normal units. - replenishing units is very tiresome. Please add a button to just fully replenish a unit. - they are two buttons to disband a unit and they do exatly the same thing. - what is the point of having a good relationship with the ballls in my army? the ui shows a number but doesn't explain anything. - please give more way to interact and customize unit like we have in Fantasy Generals. - maybe some mecanics with the greek gods like : Ares for temporary strengh, Athena for defense, Hermes for extra movement, Hercules for extra bonus for Alexander, Thanatos to revive units etc... map: - two buttons as well for interacting with a city on the main map : games and festivals. Both are the same. - I don't know how to build a greek temple even when I have the necessary ressources I cannot build it. - what is the point of garrisson on the strategic map? I clearly do not get it. Maybe give the player more ressources if a city has a full garrisson? - I really don't get the point of having a pausable real time on the strategic map. Why not using turn by turn? game menu : - give more use to legacy points: for instance give less generals in the first game and let the player unlock better generals with progression. - same with units and special skills like active skill for generals for instance.
Amazing gameplay, but a bit buggy. if an enemy is in the bottom right corner if you try and attack it it will show up with the unit advantage/disadvantage page and block you from attacking.
Fun strategy Countryball game that can be difficult at times but that is the reason its fun and addicting because of the unique battles and sieges as well as the different units, commanders and siege weapons. But at the moment its still in early access but it is worth buying if you love Countryball or strategy games and it feels like a finished and fully polished game to me. (or maybe its just too easy to please me if its that good of game lol) Also if you have ever seen or played Countryball Europe 1890 then i think you'll enjoy this game.
I think the game is good and has a good idea going, this game is 100% highly repetitive, as well as having little to no replayablilty value. Now the game is still in early beta so all of this is subject to change. I feel as if the battles all get super boring after like 4. The only other complaint I have is the battle mechanic, I virtually have no clue how the system works, its a little broken and I cant move sometimes (but theres always gonna be bugs since the games in beta). Fixing these issues will be complex but this is what i would reccomend, other than that, great idea! (Sorry for the bad english, im not from the USA)
kinda hard, kinda easy. love the game, would be awesome if there was a sandbox custom battles or something. still awesome.
I like this game because when you are bored this is a great choice when you like strategic games!
Decently fun, kind of long, but good all around.
I love this game honetly, there are a few bugs don't get me wrong but its just really fun. maybe the price should be lower...
Is Good :)
This game is absolutely amazing. This was my first steam game bought and it did not disappoint me. I am already a big fan of history so I would recommend anyone who likes history, or country balls. 10/10
