Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 12.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 27.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i am a big fan of the horror genre of games. and im not picky. any type satisfies me. so the thriller alan wake seemed like the kind of game that would make a strong impression on me; it certainly did, but in a negative way. in terms of gameplay, the game attempts to be innovative but offers no complex challenges. it is repetitive, boring, and even frustrating at times. you don't feel the difference in levels between "weak enemies" and "strong enemies," because they are all basically the same and weak to the same things. as for the horror, i don't even know if i can call this game scary. there's no real psychological tension, no clever enemy design, and no meaningful escalation. there comes a point where the same level designs and the same boring fights, which only change how many bullets you need to shoot, stop being enjoyable; think about the same battles, the same environments, over and over again, with nothing that actually makes things better. nothing evolves, nothing surprises you, and the game seems completely terrified of introducing anything that could shake up its painfully repetitive formula. you get tired of playing, and i can confidently say this game isn't short, especially if you want to finish it with all the damn platinum achievements, you'll spend an absurd amount of time suffering through content that stopped being interesting several hours ago. the developers of alan wake seem to be scared of making you quit by putting difficult things in the game, so they make everything intentionally boring to keep your scared little ass or your weak tolerance for intense gameplay, from suffering too much. the game's camera is awful and it will 100% get in your way during important moments, and there are narrow areas where alan feels like a rock sliding on butter because of how terrible he is to control. the attempt to create a horrifying atmosphere doesn't really work because it relies too much on new players' primitive fear of darkness and creepy sounds, basically relying only on atmosphere. considering the previously mentioned issue of everything being so repetitive, not much changes. you don't really feel tension while playing, only a constant sense of dissatisfaction. you'd think that with all of alan wake's mechanical and design problems, the game would at least make a glorious comeback with its innovative story. wrong. the story gives you a bit of hope because, honestly, alan wake's premise is really good. but where remedy fails terribly is in the execution: it's vague, it's intentionally made to make no sense so they can keep building more games and sequels on top of it. does alan love his wife? because all he does is fight and argue with her, and then suddenly remembers he loves her again when some supernatural darkness takes her away. their relationship is disturbingly badly written. the explanation for the rest of the story is also boring, overly wordy, and painfully tedious to even try to interpret. it took me ages to write this review after finishing the game because even the idea of writing a review for this game bored me. if you're looking for something to help you fall asleep, maybe i've found the perfect game for you.

Agora... a gameplay me cansou bastante.
I would classify this as a stereotypical 6/10 Xbox 360 gen game. The gameplay is repetitive, boring and tedious, the last episode (the game is separated in episodes) was clearly rushed and was more filler/obstructions than anything else. Game would have been much better if that entire part was simply a cutscene. The only good thing about this game is the vibes and the story, but even that barely got me through it's runtime. I was falling asleep by the last episode. And as a certified Scaredy PantsTM, this game really shouldn't have the tag "Horror". Even the jumpscares didn't do anything for me. I understand that the concept this brings might have been new and exciting in 2012, but anno 2026 it's nothing special. Only play if you want to experience it for historical reasons/want to know the backstory for Alan Wake 2.
