AI2U: With You 'Til The End

I have been thoroughly enjoying this game! Don't mind the playtime, I have owned the Itch.io version of this game and played it for a long time. What this game isn't: It isn't purely an AI waifu dating game. It is meant to be an escape room game with fun and cute interactions first and foremost. This game is not, will never be, and never was an NSFW game. If you are looking for something "spicy" move along. This game and the community that has supported and enjoyed it does not want it to be a "spicy" game. Respect that! Currently, you cannot use an offline AI solution for the game or your own API keys. They tried letting people use their own API keys and all people did was complain that they had to pay to use the AI so they changed their model, even though it was risky for them to do it. Steam also has restrictions. They have to have guardrails and they have to be able to explain those to Steam. Steam is also "feeling" their way around the AI Gaming space since it is new and very niche. When the game joined Steam, there were restrictions on how token costs could be handled. The game was developed early on with that in mind. Now for the facts: AlterStaff decided to be pioneers in utilizing AI in a game. What they came up with was an escape room game with yandere girls you need to either convince to let you leave or chat them up enough to let their guard down so you can escape, or die trying. It utilizes a combination of Chat GPT and Gemini with Minimax for voices. Yes, they are paying for the token use, and the game is inexpensive, which means they have to keep costs down. As a result they are using cheaper models for some of the interactions. Either way, the game is still completely playable and enjoyable. But keep in mind, the girls are not meant to be a general-purpose chat bot. Gameplay: You are a sempai that finds themself in several different scenarios with different yandere girls that do not want you to leave. Your goal of course, is to escape one way or another and you do have options of how to accomplish that. However, you can die and trying to obtain the various escape and death endings gives each level replay-ability. They increased this by adding a chance for anomalies to appear in the levels and of course, you have the dynamic nature of AI interactions. Each level is unique and each girl feels like their own character with their own backstory and circumstances. There are currently five levels plus a hub world that provides additional interactions outside of the confines of the level scenarios. What's more there are different outfits you can unlock for the girls and various things like personality traits that you can unlock from each playthrough that let you customize the girls a bit to switch things up, which helps keep the interactions fresh. Art and Sound: The art direction is fantastic. The models look so good and the level design is beautiful. For such a small studio, they really went all out in these areas, and we can't neglect to mention the beautiful soundtrack composed by DGSpitzer! If you didn't buy the game yet and it sounds like your cup of tea so far, get the soundtrack with it. You won't regret it! Between the Steam and Itch version of the game, I have easily spent 300-400 hours playing this game. Sometimes I speedrun, sometimes I take my time, sometimes i just mess with the girls, either pretending to be interested in them, or just ragebaiting and trolling the heck out of them! Sometimes I upload videos or draw on the art canvas to see the reactions I get. The game is what you make of it and what you decide to do with the AI at the end of the day. All in all, I say this game is a solid 9/10 as far as AI games go. It has it's rough edges at times, but the game has come such a long way and the amount of features and things you can do makes the $15 trivial. You just aren't going to be doing goon nonsense since it uses Chat GPT and Gemini and those platforms do sensor those types of interactions a bit. But if you want some cute, casual fun in the form of a yandere-flavored escape room, and want to support these kinds of uses of AI, then support this game and get a copy for yourself and your friends. I haven't. Ignore the haters and the lonely goons review bombing the game for lack of NSFW content.

Worth the $15? About 50/50 for Early Access. The bots are fun to interact with. And its funny to try and logically beat each scenario.. Then just go deranged the next playthrough. My only complaint is that, while the bot understands the raw form of the environment, It doesn't 'know' everything around you.. Even if it is right in front of them. HOWEVER.. Its really fun regardless. The AI is a genuine blast to interact with.. My only complaint is that I wish there was more 'nuanced' interaction abilities with the bot. Though as it stands right now, its pretty barebones, but has so much room to grow. (And maybe a bit more bot memory for chats wouldnt hurt?)

la censura lo arruina, esta todo tan limitado y la IA tan restringida que no te deja hacer prácticamente nada, el juego tiene un potencial enorme y estoy seguro que la comunidad se encargara de eliminar todas esas restricciones a base de mods, cuando eso pase le comprare de nuevo
