This is kind of one of those very simple games that hit decently enough to be entertaining but not enough for me to recommend it. The art was cute, the voice acting was probably the best part. Its been a while since I played Oxenfree but I remember it being much more solid and less glitchy and buggy than this by a longshot. The decision to zoom the camera in, not have as flat of a POV, abandoning the text bubbles, it all just kinda feels like a downgrade. On its own, I think this is a solid $7.99 game on sale, where as Oxenfree was a $5 worth $20. I could not really get behind any of the messaging here because it was so focused on drinking different alcohols which just felt weirdly out of theme. It was just stamped onto this game as a mechanic with no real story purpose. The whole game feels a little rushed honestly, like it wanted to do more with each idea. I think it was a fun ride though, and I appreciated some lines. Some of the dialogue and writing was definitely giving cringe CW show or Hazbin Hotel...which again on its own I wouldn't mind too bad as a comedy piece, but comparing this to the tragic drama of Oxenfree I just feel kinda meh. I am also really f-cking high right now. I loved the sound effects on the menu buttons...
Loved playing this game, need more games like this in my life.
i liked oxenfree a lot, and thought oxenfree 2 was meh. this one, though, is awful. first, there is no gameplay, so the story and characters must be top-notch to make this a good game. unfortunately, the two main characters are whiny, annoying brats that make constant bad jokes and lame quips. they are completely unlikeable and, apart from a few story moments, fairly one-dimensional. the side characters are almost worse than the main characters, as most of them are either exceptionally bland or annoying. the only characters i somewhat enjoyed were the bored receptionist and personal demon. the gameplay is simply linear and slow walking to the next conversation. so, with a bad story, bad characters, and no gameplay, i'd say this is an easy skip.
first game i played on steamdeck, and was a fun quick game with great music and art style
I dont really understand all the backlash, i really enjoyed this game
Cute art style, visually interesting world, and a good story.
great game
Every character is annoying asf, quip filled awkward silence humour, no thanks
its a simple- short story about 2 best friends that are outcasts. the gameplay is tedious for a bit but the jokes are funny- dialogue can change, and the game has different endings. its a pretty good steal for the price and its just a sweet game
Прикольная игра. Очень нравится стиль графики.
