The beginning of the game is rough. The controls seem flaky and the atmosphere just doesn't hit... I was close to calling quits, but glad I didn't. This game turns from a mess into an excellent piece of art. The atmosphere changes, the controls become fluent, the art kicks off. If you pick this game up, don't be surprised by the beginning, it's worth pushing through.
A mediocre platformer that bashes you over the head with its unsubtle message. Pros: - it looks very pretty. Some vistas are spectacular. - striking symbolism, with the goop everywhere, grasping tendrils of filth pulling you in, TV heads etc. Cons: - controller only, for some reason? Got around this using Key2Joy to reasonable success, but quite annoying. - very floaty platforming controls. - incredibly frustrating combat system. Should have been removed entirely. - message is way too in your face. Freeing all the animals was kinda satisfying but the game was a bit of a slog to get through.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the finest games I have ever played. We need more of these games. I would describe this game as stress-relieving. You just gotta relax and dive into the depths of Gaia's World. Everything about this game is well crafted and beautifully designed. I honestly would rate it 10 out of 10. Gotta thank the developers for their vision and creativity.
One of the most hauntingly beautiful and criminally underrated games I've ever experienced. It's difficult not to draw comparisons to games like Journey, ABZÛ, and INSIDE. Like those titles, After Us tells its story of ecological and societal loss using very few words, relying instead primarily on environmental storytelling, atmosphere, music, and visual symbolism to communicate its themes. That being said, After Us is far from a mere imitation of the aforementioned titles. Its platforming and movement mechanics are satisfying in their own right, the level design remains consistently inventive, and the world itself is breathtaking. Every environment manages to be simultaneously beautiful and tragic, depicting a planet scarred by humanity while still clinging to fragile remnants of hope. It's one of those rare games where I found myself stopping simply to admire the sun scorched vista before continuing on. My only criticism is that some of the platforming can occasionally feel a little imprecise, and a few collectible hunts drag on longer than necessary. Even so, these are minor blemishes on an otherwise unforgettable experience. After Us isn't a game for players looking for constant action or spectacle. It's contemplative, melancholic, and deeply atmospheric. If you appreciate games that prioritize mood, environmental storytelling, and emotional impact over dialogue and exposition, than this is the one for you. An absolute hidden gem, and one I imagine deserves far more attention than it ever received. update: by the time i finished the game, i was getting a bit tired of the tedious platforming coupled with the often clunky controls...still a great game, but it took about 200% longer than the average player to complete.
I thought going in that After Us was another entry in the Journey-like genre, and that's not entirely wrong, but it's both more of a pure 3D platformer (albeit not a very difficult one) than most such games, and much longer; my total play time ended up at around 15 hours, though admittedly, I did go out of my way to get a lot of the collectibles. Did not need to be quite as long as it is, and the ending is pretty unsatisfying, but overall, I quite enjoyed most of my time platforming my way through very pretty pollution-themed 3D environments; yes, some areas could have been trimmed a bit, the simplistic combat kinda sucks, and there are some poorly signposted paths here and there, but there's enough variety in the level design and light puzzles - combined with its excellent audiovisual presentation - to keep After Us enjoyable for most of its length.
Great game. There's not enough games like this. I really appreciate when we do have releases like this one. It's eye candy throughout the entire game, plus fun combat and exploration. The game suffers from large stuterring at times but we can forgive that, or at least I can!
It's not my favorite game of all time, but it was pretty to experience the one time. Obviously I didn't play this without knowing what it was about and I knew it would be like this, but some parts are so incredibly heavy-handed that it made me laugh a few times when it was supposed to be serious.
Reseña de After Us

Historia7Emocional y simbólica; si conectas, pega, si no, bostezo culto.
