When are we getting the Jett Jackson x Dusk Stalker Yaoi
I kickstarted this game a while back and played a little bit on launch, but only got through the career game mode now. I believe this game is wonderful and I would give it a 10/10 if it wasn't for a few small details. I am a very poor racer and completed the game on the easiest difficulty. I Aced some of the stages on the hard difficulty, but I wanted to enjoy the game rather than stress over perfecting courses to narrowly squeeze out victory. Rather, I wanted to go FAST. And buddy, this game lets you go FAAAAAAAAAST. It's very reminiscent of F-Zero racing titles and lets you push the boundaries of controllable speed. Some stages that works extremely well, letting that speed be the only focus. Some stages you have to implement some movement mechanics, and coming from me who completed the game on easy, I'd recommend you learn those. Each stage has a unique look that offers different challenges and kept me engaged, looking forward to the next track. Also a plethora of characters with differing stats which creates more challenges and replayability. Just a few things I noticed that might subtract from your experience as of writing this review: -Not every stage is implemented in the Career mode yet, about 10 courses are locked exclusively through single player. -Rarely you move so fast that the geometry gets a bit funky, but that only happens a fraction of the time on very dynamic stages. -There is only LOCAL multiplayer. I don't know if there are enough people to support a true multiplayer experience, but I feel like this game would truly shine if you could get 10 to 20 people playing on the same stage. The chaos would be amazing. -And my final gripe... the price. As of this moment, I believe this game is worth 15. The content which is available is amazing and I don't regret supporting the kickstarter, but its missing a lot still. All I believe they need to add is true multiplayer support, then this game is worth the 20. Otherwise if you're interested in playing, get it on sale. I know I wasn't the target audience, but I had a blast with the time I played and I can't wait for the full release.

it's alright but YOU PEOPLE need to STOP calling this F-Zero GX. it's F-Zero X with flying. none of this feels like GX. and that's fine. it's fun.
Finally, an arcade AG racer that actually get the feeling of speed right. The driving is right between a F-Zero X and GX and is very responsive. It is not trying to mimic Wipeout (thank God) and it does not feel overly floaty. The game has a modern and colourful touch while trying to do its own thing. The slipsteam adds mid air steering and the burn mechanic gives a good risk reward tension. I do recommend a good rebind of the controls to fit it to your liking, depending if you want to drive closer to whichever F-Zero you prefer. Maybe the dev can add different premade control layout in the future? Very good first impression!
It pains me to leave a negative review. I love F-Zero X and this is probably the closest thing we will ever get to it. That being said, the level design is just atrocious. There is not a single track that screams "fun" or "quality". Every single track will break your speed chains with some BS gimmick. 4X yellow boosts in a row? Enjoy this sharp turn with no walls...or jumping fire BS...or a trip through the air that is 5X slower than being on the track itself. Every single time you start to actually get speed you will either fly - launch - spin - burn - brake. Yes, there are short sections of some tracks where the speeds get insane...but it is short lived due to whatever gimmick they can toss at you. Every time you go fast...you will soon go slow. The time attacks with the turbo gas can refills are BY FAR the peak of this game, and where the fun is.
xd
It's got a cel-shaded artstyle I always have a soft-spot for, has tracks built like F-Zero X, and plays almost exactly like F-Zero GX, even down to being able to (somewhat) snake and do MTS's, both techniques you'd see often in a GX run from CrazyGameNerd or brave1225! When compared to other F-Zero-likes on Steam, this may quite honestly be the best one out of all of them, and it isn't even close to complete yet.
pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥ kino. i don't really care for racing games, but that can't be said about this one. just an awesome experience.
