Cool art style, but not worth the $20. Not much more fun to be had over the demo, and updates seem slow. Will pick it up again when it is a finished game.
Aside from the flying (which I utterly despise) it is literally F-Zero. Not like F-Zero, it literally just IS. As for the flying sections, they feel much less like flying any kind of air vehicle and much more like you're in a speedboat constantly being pushed to the surface. Not a fan of that. But the rest is brilliant.
Looking for a new F-Zero? Aero GPX is pretty much "F-Zero GX" lite, as in a very similar if a little less polished game that will make you feel right at home if you spend at least a few hours on GX, and it seems easier too (so far, I haven't encountered anything remotely close to that dreaded "Master" difficulty of GX). I am currently working my way through the solo missions, and my opinion on the game is: it looks good, controls very well (but beware of walls on the inside of corners, they will slow you down like crazy) and is a very good time so far. Perfectly scratches my "futuristic racing" itch!

Super fun game, excellent visuals and runs great on older hardware too!
Excellent game. Flying phases can be more difficult, and make this game different from other anti-grav games. It works well on Steam Deck.
It's cool, pretty neat, but the difficulty spike is pretty crazy just a few missions in and the lack of any online multiplayer makes it hard to wanna keep going when speedrunning time trials seem like the only thing to look forward to. Tutorial could use some work teaching the more important mechanics too. If you're down for a really hard racing experience go ahead for it but after blowing nearly a full hour on the slipstream step down time trial I think I'm about done
Fantastic Game! I'm a huge fan of F-Zero X and GX and this game scratches that itch! And the stylized cel-shaded graphics remind of Dreamcast games like Jet Grind Radio. Fun tracks, solid controls, some interesting new mechanics, and buttery smooth frame rate. What's not to love?
