Looks like a pretty simple pixel art game on the surface, but as you get into it there's quite a bit there: Party management: - Recruit heroes from the various cities across the map (usually based on race). - Retire heroes. - Heros can die and be buried. - Level up and spec heroes while also allocating 1 of several attributes. - Can use the University to train heroes. Active manual turn-based combat: - Clear areas to unlock passive missions. - Grind money and loot. - Sell or disenchant loot for money and crafting materials. - Dungeons are just a series of connected rooms with combat encounters or chest/event rooms. Passive mission based combat: - Unlocked by playing through story quests. - Allows the player to farm XP or loot without actively managing the combat. - Can get a variety of party bonuses based on party composition. Invasions. Town management: - Construct and upgrade buildings. - Buildings provide buffs and services for your party (inventory size, magic find, training time, etc). Crafting items with rarity levels, attributes, and effects: - Items have a gear score that indicates relative impact of the item. - Gear score also gates the content a hero can participate in. - When crafting items there are resources (gems) that can be used to influence and add to the stats on the craft. Variety of races to choose from. Variety of classes to choose from. Variety of weapon types to use: - Melee weapons. - Ranged weapons. - Weapons ideal for specific races/classes. Worth giving a shot if the graphics aren't an instant turn-off.

A fun game concept with a multitude of bugs. Fortunately it's just good enough to make me want to bash my face against it's poorly designed UI for quite some time, so still probably worth the $5.
This game is great if you really, really, and I mean reeEaAAaLlLlyy like grinding. It's me. I'm one of those weirdos who likes punishing myself with endless management, evidently. May not be everyone else's cup of tea though. Fair warning.
I just noticed my version is from early 2016. How come I just noticed this game recently... There are some obvious bugs that could be dealt with swiftly and I wouldn't think this games got a big budget or anything. The problem is. This game actually had some great upsides but it seemed to lose something along the way. Imagine an AAA version of this type of game. High end graphics. Appealing layout and UI design. Keep the item drop depth as that's really one of the things this game does well. Keep the large amount of unique monsters. Keep how this game does most things, but please add these: Actual procedural dungeons with way more content. Just give me all of these great things this game has but in a highend visual experience and I would be very happy. Hell even 20% better looking I would be in love. I want to play as the king or god. I want to manage groups of Hero's, end to end. Through their class progressions. I want to manage the equipment on these Hero's. I want to manage the adventures in a auto manager so I can farm loot for my best people. I want to complete the main story of the world, but not have it end there. I want the game to procedurally generate the next main story with subplots and never end. I want to be able to mod the game. I want to design the look of my armour & weapons from scratch through my blacksmith or what ever. I want to craft the weapons and armour. I want to fight my way through a good group of bosses over a campaign. You can pretty much add a check mark beside all of those above for Adventurer Manager. I Just want the eye candy and craftsmanship of quality models with polygons. Don't get me wrong. I love the minimal art that has taken over video games, thanks to MC. But man would it be a sweet game if it just had actual good dungeon adventuring with content and great visual art. 7/10
So it's not this epic rpg my any means but for the price? Certainly worth it.
