Game feels fantastic and is a very satisfying and challenging beat'em up that reminds me a bit of Smash Bros. in terms of how every attack can be directional and there is a lot of air time as well. It has three characters to choose from and, don't quote me on this but, I think there is a hidden one to unlock as well. There are also a couple modes aside from the default arcade mode to chose from. All in all, a great cheap game that is a lot of fun with pretty sharp controls and it's just a very awesome and fun but pretty challenging game.
I remember playing this game a lot on a friend's account a long time ago. The other day it popped up again in my memory and I figured it'd be fun to go back and play an old beat 'em up and maybe try to finally beat the entire game. Unfortunately, come to find that the game is entirely broken and simply does not run. There's a supposed workaround provided by the dev(s) in the discussion, but that was last updated back in April of 2025. It's nearly 2026 with no updates and the alleged workaround simply does not function, or at least not properly. Though I remember the game itself rather fondly, I simply can not recommend a non-functional product.
This game is awesome
Wish the soundtrack was available to stream, awesome game.
DON'T BUY THIS GAME! It literally doesn't work anymore and as far as I can tell there's no way to get it working or refund it. Avoid at all costs unless you want to waste your money
HOW TO STOP GAME FROM CRASHING ON STARTUP: the game crashes on startup if you have a controller connected for some reason. to stop this, unplug/turn off your controller, launch the game, and then reconnect your controller. after doing these steps, it should work.
como q um jogo deixa todas as fases liberadas ? vc abre o jogo e ja pode ir pro final do jogo , isso n faz sentido
Animations appear mostly stolen from other games.
Péssimo. Extremamente repetitivo e sem graça.
Oh, I never left a review for this game? It's badass, buy it. YOU GET TO PUNCH A DOG IN THE FACE. Long version: This is an old-school beat-em-up, the main addition is that you can fly. This means you don't learn any new moves. You don't unlock anything. You don't get stronger over time. That's not what Aces Wild is about. I know you don't SEE the "Difficult" tag on the store page, but this is a pretty difficult game. Try just beating it from start to finish. For a summary, Aces Wild is one of very few games to use a mechanic called... Adaptive Difficulty. The better you play, the harder the game gets. No, not like in Resident Evil. This one has a reward! Speed and glory. Speed. And. GLORY. You build up power, the Panic/Wild Meter, by attacking enemies. Staying at low power by spamming hard attacks, aka Crash attacks, will make you safer, but it will also make your punches come out like tissue paper. If you want anything to die in a reasonable amount of time, you have to put yourself in danger. You need to raise that Wild Meter. Even at high power, however, you still won't do tons of damage with basic attacks. To end the fight when you want it to end, you have to unleash some portion of your built up power in one single punch. A light Crash attack will do some pretty good damage, but it's ultimately unsatisfying and keeps you at a dangerously high Wild level. A heavier, longer charge... that's where this game gets REAL. That same punch will probably instakill MULTIPLE people in just one hit (at the cost of resetting your Wild Meter). And even then, that's if you land it. Remember how I said you can fly? There's no auto-targeting in this game and the movement is very floaty; you can easily miss. Git gud. If that wasn't enough, you have the Rank. That's where the real adaptive difficulty comes in. It goes up as you attack enemies, and goes down quickly if you get hit by anything. It's mainly important for score-chasing, but some of us like a challenge too. Now, about the dodge... here's something important you should keep in mind, because this isn't a common way to handle this mechanic: If you don't dodge through anything, there's a delay after the dodge. If you dodge through something, there is no delay, and you can dodge again right in the middle of your dodge animation. And yes, the game DOES expect you to do this! A lot! "But Net! All you've done is explain how tough the game is. What's fun about it?" YOU GET TO PUNCH A DOG IN THE FACE! That's really all I should need to say. Oh, and there's local 2-player if you have a buddy. And Gene, the sword guy, is kind of overpowered so pick him if you want an easier game without lowering the difficulty. Beware the Bonus Ninjas (my favorite mechanic from this game).
