Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's like playing as Edgeworth from the first games, except he's in hell.
超级好玩
Gameplay: The innovations in this title compared to the original are pretty fun, with new investigation screens with additional deductions and the logic feature to unlock new evidence. Mind Chess was an interesting non-supernatural equivalent to the magatama from the original trilogy but it often felt like a crapshoot with the stress of the timer and not really clear clues on when you should bide your time versus press for an answer. Mr. Thief was a fun addition and the ability to walk around instead of clicking on a static screen was just a cool modern visual improvement. Cases: I didn't keep clear track but I'm pretty sure I referenced a walkthrough guide less than I did for the original trilogy so I don't know if I got smarter or if the cases got easier. I generally judge the early cases in light of how the final case wraps things up but I did like the airplane one and the theme park one in the first game. Further notes below. Writing: Early in the game, I wasn't really liking what they were doing with Edgeworth. It seemed like they were just turning him into Phoenix by making the corrupt law system stack up against him which was really Phoenix's schtick. As it went on however, and especially thinking about it after Turnabout For The Ages, that's a major part of his character development: he's becoming more like Phoenix. He's abandoning the "win at all costs" mentality and is searching just for the truth. Turnabout For The Ages might be my favorite Ace Attorney case so far, as not only does it manage to make me sympathize for two characters that I spent the rest of the game absolutely despising, but it added so much to Edgeworth's growth in a way that many serialized works don't care about. He's tangibly changed over the course of the games and it makes for a beautiful ending. Unfortunately, as much as I did enjoy Kay, she also felt a little lazy on the writing side, being somewhat of a ripoff of Maya in my opinion. That was a Phoenix-ization of Miles that did feel somewhat repetitive, as his reactions to Kay's quirky little comments seemed a lot like Phoenix and Maya's relationship. By the last two cases of the second game they had developed into a dynamic I enjoyed, especially with the drama from the penultimate case (not to mention Kay has one of the best music tracks in the game) but I wondered if there was any companion trope other than "hyperconfident and irrepressibly cheerful young girl taken under protagonist's wing that everyone kind of likes" that the writers could have tried. Edgeworth has a great arc across these games and I appreciate the allusions to Phoenix, but I just like Phoenix so much that it made me sad he had nothing beyond nameless cameos here. Overall: Good game(s) with a fantastic concluding case with some great character writing. Not as charming and fresh overall as the original trilogy since the protagonist is a familiar face and the most important new character is fun but seemingly derivative of previous favorites. I think Fender takes the cake for my favorite new face, and Samson is probably my favorite one-off character. Original trilogy still slightly above this one but it was a good time.
