My nostalgia for the edition I owned for my Commodore Amiga prompted me to get this game. Sadly disappointed.

Not Recommended
I'm not sure if I can recommend this game so much as I can say I have certainly enjoyed toying around with it. In terms of game play I have had fun going bankrupt a few times and surprisingly managed to stay in the black a few other times. All in all, to me it is like a spruced up version of A-Train III/Maxis A-Train with UI design elements from A-Train 7 and the look of A-Train 21st Century. It's a pretty fun localization (English), too. This game has been a fun tool that has served me well to prepare to tackle A-Train 9. I haven't come across any annoying bugs and the UI is pretty good...though it's hard to track down where trains are when using the train and station menues combined with the satellite view map. Another UI issue is that the train status light covers part of the train number in the train menu window and focus on train tool. So again harder to keep track of trains. And I still wonder why subway station ground level entrance/exit stairways vanished after A-Train IV. So it's not like I'm saying this game is oerfect. All in all, this game is a basic fundamental entry in the series without much in too terms of bells and whistles. Recommended to those familiar with the game mechanics (i.e.: those who've played A-Train III / IV) and who wish to try a slightly older entry in the series.
Old but still good. Works pretty well with steamplay.
Once you understand this game it is really fun, not just about trains, its really about speculation

Super
