It’s a brilliant game for a relaxing evening or two! The platforming sections are great fun and feature a variety of obstacles. The characters are very charismatic and memorable. The graphics are charming. All in all, this game is really ratsome!
Excelente juego con hermosos gráficos y voces de doblaje muy bien cuidadas. Un gran orgullo para el desarrollo de videojuegos en México.
The game is ratsome
i love rats and having a game where you get to be a rat so far is an absolute blast. the main character Mat is very likeable and the voice acting is great. the puzzles are simple and not hard which i like. the only frustrating thing is some of the camera you have to fight and some of the jumps are frustrating.
A Rat's Quest é uma obra visualmente encantadora que coloca você no papel de Mat, um rato apaixonado disposto a tudo para alcançar sua amada que vive no mundo dos humanos. A premissa é criativa, a narrativa é envolvente e o estilo artístico é simplesmente lindo.
Funny enough, I have a slight fear of heights in real life. Games like this often used to give me tension and little heart-pounding moments. Here, though, it’s presented in a way that still feels challenging, but the tension is gentler and I’m actually having a really good time. So far I’ve spent about an hour in the game. The controls, even though they’re designed for a controller, actually feel better to me on mouse and keyboard. ^^ The story is nicely presented, the music is great, and it’s a really enjoyable platformer. :) I’m already looking forward to next weekend to keep playing. :)
Absolutely fantastic game and new successor of original Ratatouille game (2007) from ASOBO where I see a huge inspiration. To be honest, I was really worried about the good-looking project because the development took a long time and there wasn't much information, but now the game is finally out. The split into two parts only made my worries worse. But none of that was confirmed and I really enjoyed it and spent a fantastic 7 hours of great adventure playing it with my little son. This is more than I expected for that good price. Proof that even smaller developer teams can make great games. For rodent lovers, this is an absolute must-have and unfortunately the comparison with Ratatouille is simply unavoidable and that's why I'll stick with it. The main difference compared to this game is probably that Rat's Quest is heavily linear without any side quests or optional missions with a minimum of alternative paths. Also, apart from a mini butterfly catch, there are no collectibles or unlockable content, which is a big shame and if the game sells good, there's a big opportunity for a small "expansion" or DLC. While I played Ratatouille at least 10 more times after the first playthrough and tried to collect everything I could and discover every hidden nook and cranny and win all the side missions, unfortunately there's nothing like that here, so the motivation to play the game again is minimal. The game is otherwise great, Mat can do a lot of different moves and learns new and new abilities and experience is constantly moving forward and the idea of alternative perspectives from the side-view or above-view works absolutely great for the rat. Creating so many game mechanisms would certainly take a lot of work and therefore it would be a great shame if the game did not have a sequel, new missions and maybe even another story (I don't mean season 2, but a whole sequel...). Another advantage are surely cutscenes (there are really a lot of them) and the story itself, which has even some basic twists. It's just a shame that cutscenes are not fully ingame, when they are recorded in the game anyway. If you play the game on maximum details and You are close to the monitor, the recorded videos have some compression fragments and it ruins the impression of the otherwise great graphics. The difficulty is good enough for casual players, we had only three major stucks, but it was rather that we played it on a keyboard with a mouse. While the camera works great (apart the sensitivity), it is really obvious that the game is made for a controller and some places are simply problematic and it would deserve even better QA and a special tester with only keyboard and mouse. Anyway, I can totally recommend it as good family game and I hope that the developers can finish the second part and its sales will allow them to add at least some additional content. I personally was waiting when the discounts ends so that I could buy the game at full price and support its development...
