《A Rat's Quest - The Way Back Home》第一季是一款让你彻底代入一只小老鼠视角的动作冒险游戏。

What a fun and beautiful game! I'm so impressed by the world building and gameplay. Playing as a small rat in such a big world is so fun! I enjoyed so much exploring all the areas and I loved that pretty much every single nook and cranny are accessible to our main character. That attention to detail is brilliant. Also, loved the characters and story so far. No wonder this game won Best Latin American Game at the Gamescom Latam BIG Festival Awards! Can't wait for season 2 to drop!
A really funny and cute game. Pretty easy but very funny. Its like to play a Pixar movie. "Vivement" season 2 !! ! Ratsome game !!
tl;dr: Good game, gameplay and camera needs a bit work as well as some QoL, but the rest is great, espcially the audio and story. Feels reminiscent of animation movies
The Bad
The camera: - it collides with walls which often means it is stuck in positions where you can't seen anything especially if you miss a jumo and end up close to a wall - Feels kinda sluggish in its movement, kind of like it's got momentum, which just doesn't feel great The gameplay: - some elements of the gameplay need some work, mostly the two battles against
the Bully
they are really boring and feel more like glorified QTEs - When pushing something, you sort of clip to it, which often doesn't feel responsive enough and when wanting to leave it feels too strong --> in my opinion when you have to push something to a sepcific place (ie when there are nails disallowing you from pushing it further) you should automatically disattach - attaching to a rope from a jump feels really unresponsive, and there should be a bigger margin for where you can press to attach to it - attaching/landing on a rope from above/balancing on it also feels kind of unresponsive even though there is some snap to it
The Mixed
Butterflies: - Really annoying that there is no indication if you are close to one or if there even is one in the level --> I'd suggest adding a butterlfy symbol when entering a level and a fluttering sound when you get close - No level/chapter select means you'd have to replay everything again when you missed even one Achievements: - Aside from two achievments, one being the really annoying butterfly one, all are story achievements, which I am personally not a fan of Difficulty: - The game is harder in some places than you might expect from a game like this and makes me wonder who exavtly the target audience is since I believe it might be too ahrd for kids and the story is mostly interesting for them (despite not being bad at all) The Price: - Really feels more like a 15€/$ game tbh
The Good
Audio: - basically the entire audio is great, the soundtrack, the ambient sounds, the effects, "foley" sounds, and especially the voice acting - Much higher quality than you'd think from a game like this and for this price Graphics, Animation, Character design, etc: - pretty decent, obviously nothing world-breaking but more than good enough, sometimes the fur can look weird (as others said the cut-scenes sometimes look weird, but I expected worse) - the style is very reminiscent of "old" animated movies (as wella s the story, so it fits really well) - the character design is also great and fits the characters very well, even just normal NPCs that are walking around (again the voice acting is also great making the characters feels great) - the only exception is "The Claw" it really looked and sounded bad, making me suspect that the devs have some personal vendetta against cats Gameplay: - jumping feels really good, movement for the most part (except what I wrote above) is good - despite visiting the same levels several times they always change a bit so that you always have to find new ways - great level design in general making the game just nice to play - the fighting at the back end of the game could need some more work, but it's promising for the next entries Story: - really nicely written, but at its core nothing too special (though again, don't think anyone would expect that) - great pacing - in general probably the strongest part of the game after the Voice acting (and maybe character design, though I guess all this is interconencted)
I haven’t finished Season 1 yet, but I already know that I like the game. I’m convinced that if I were a much younger player, it would be one of my favorites like Rayman or Kao the Kangaroo to spend time. At this point, I’m not sure whether it’s a skill issue on my part or if some levels could be a bit more polished. For context, I’m playing on a keyboard and mouse, even though using a controller is recommended, which might explain some of the difficulties I’m experiencing, if not there is definitely place for improvement. To sum up: the game is enjoyable and would be good as a gift for younger players I'm not so sure about older gamers. I think that once I finish Season 1, I'll be waiting for Season 2, hopefully with more polished levels. If I was stilla kid I would say the game is Ratsome ;)
Nice story, simple but sometimes still challenging gameplay, a few funny jokes. i'd recommend this game for fans of plattformers. the cutscences have a weird quality, not sure if it’s due to compression or intentional stylistic choice. I finished the game in 5 hours, so whether it's worth the price is up to you.
Super cute and fun 3D platformer. There's a heavy emphasis on the story which I found fairly typical for the intro at least. There are a lot of, "I've seen this movie / played this game before" moments even in just the first hour. However, the endearing characters and excellent presentation make the game a fun romp. If you're a fan of games like It Takes Two, but want something solo-focused with a bit less emphasis on puzzles and minigames, you will likely greatly enjoy this game!
A nice little story with a gameplay that reminded me the beginning of Ratatouille, got a pretty nice time playing it :)
honestly a cozy game with fun platforming and charming characters, highly recommend for a relaxing evening
