I did not like this when I played it a decade ago

Got it for free during a stream giveaway many many years ago and played through it twice. Lacks some polish but for a short session with robots and guns it is solid enough. For a real challenge you can try beating bosses damageless, that will test your skills proper. Overall I can recommend it if you get it cheap.

A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda is a commendable choice for fans of retro action platformers. Its blend of resource management, boss battles, and a sci-fi setting offers a solid experience. However, potential issues with controls and bugs should be considered. Overall, it's a game worth trying for those who enjoy challenging, old-school platforming.

メトロイド系。止まりながら射角を調整できたら狙いやすかったんだけどな。 自分的には程よい難易度。回復アイテムはなるべく買わずに素材は武器強化に回せたら進めやすいかと思います。クリア後はボム無限になりました。

Pros: Nice visuals. The combination of 2D sprites with low poly 3D environments create a very cool retro look. Good soundtrack that sounds like Megaman X. Cons: Too short. Sometimes the game ignores certain inputs, specially for jumping, which leads to some frustrating moments. My controller works perfectly with other games so the problem is with this game. Final score: 6.5 out of 10 I recommend it for Megaman fans like me, since it does have some Megaman vibes and kinda itches that scratch if you want a Megaman sort of experience.

I beat this game probably like 13 years ago but overall I enjoyed it. Feels like a Megaman game and is fairly simple. Took me like 3 hours to beat so not super long.
