Project Chemistry

I got a free key for this game from a friend, so I did not pay the very high asking price it is currently set at. I played this reaction game because I just started a half year chemistry class and want to find ways to better myself. While this game is "scientifically correct" in its approach, it isn’t really much of a game and more like an instructional course with visuals. It is tagged as a puzzle, but I don’t think it is much of a puzzle game. Like I said, it is more like just follow the instructions and work your way through the periodic table. So, at least for the casual user/student, there isn’t much to come for here, especially considering its price. This game also has some really bad movement mechanics. It would have been much better if the camera would auto adjust itself instead of leaving positioning up to the player. If the "gameplay" had been more enjoyable, maybe the price could be justified, even with the lack of exciting content. Hey, I don't mean to be annoying or anything, but you guys need to add free electrons, electron clouds, and review the hybridizations. The hybridization of water is wrong; it's not sp but sp3. You should also add free radicals and various other diagrams like the Frost and Lathamier diagrams, as they are important for anyone learning chemistry. game rate is on my opinion 5/10 but it can get better i hope so

Ожидал другого от игры, мне казалось что ты можешь спавнить атомы и они будут реагировать друг с другом, но по итогу ты спавнишь атомы, потом нажимаешь отдельную кнопку "реакции" и смотришь какие реакции ты можешь сделать, после выбираешь нужную реакцию, нажимаешь и она мгновенно происходит, без каких либо эффектов реакция происходит где то за кадром. Это не единственный минус, но это стало для меня основной причиной возврата игры. если вас интересует то вот другие, как по мне, критические недостатки: -- Вид ядра атома, оно представлено в виде просто сферы, ни протонов ни нейтронов не видно. -- Орбиты электронов. Конечно сами электроны показаны неплохо, красиво светятся, понятное дело что для наглядности каждый электрон имеет четкое расположение в этой игре. Орбиты электронов не коректны, они все просто круглые Конечно у игры есть и плюсу, я сыграл всего минут 20 так что многое явно упустил.

I would recommend this game if you have a basic understanding and if you are looking for a virtual molecular building kit. this program is better if you treat it like a uni class or paired with others...gives you basic info and expands on some things like reaction types but the rest you need to look up. ive spent most of my 4 hours with the game lowered looking up chemical reaction formulas. it also doesnt really give you an understanding of the reaction you're conducting...click here see the molecule results...select the correct one with the molecule you are looking for. Im Currently stuck on trying to create FeCl3 + H2O with a reduction reaction involving 3 different molecules one of which is FeCl2. I cant figure this out atm and its driving me nuts. what i find online or in text books doesnt seem to apply to the program. anyways, overall this program is pretty good but use it with other things to get the most out of it.

I come back to this game from time to time, hoping it's received some much-needed update to fix the UI and let me remap the controls. Each time, I'm disappointed. Project Chemistry is something I deeply want to love, but its clunky interface leaves me feeling too annoyed to enjoy the game.

Nice game that teaches you some basic reactions of chemistry. But the biomolecules part isn't very complete, beta glucose should be soluble and have exactly the same gram per mole as alpha glucose.Also how is the lewis structure and 3d structure of alpha and beta glucose the same???

Educational, fun but hard to %100. 7/10

Игра, не смотря на плохие отзывы школьников, единственная в стиме в таком жанре "Симулятор химических веществ и реакций". Конечно в игре куча недостатков, такое ощущение что разработчик на рандом раскидал вещества по классам: некоторые соли кислот в кислотах и основаниях, некоторые основания в оксидах, ретинол с утра был спиртом, а тут уже кислота и тому подобное. Мне больше понравилось искать реакцию замещения для образования ZnCl2, из 3 таких реакций ни одна не подошла, это говорит о том, что разработчик даже не соизволил пройти свою игру, ведь это один из квестов. Можно бесконечно описывать недостатки этой игры, но я всё же порекомендую эту игру для начинающих химиков 8-11 класса, это отлично развивает химическое мышление даже не смотря на ошибки. Но если вы ждёте от игры чего-то большего вы очень сильно разочаруетесь, по крайней мере на момент написания этого комментария, потому что я почитал некоторые комментарии прошлых лет, как оказалось игру потихоньку развивают, не так как хотелось бы, но всё же прогресс есть.
