The Game World - I am working hard to bring more elements of "life" and "depth" into the game as current features are also tested by those of you that play the Beta Version.
Consistent & Reliable gameplay - Physics games are quirky and a lot of adjustments are always being made.
Gets the bugs out - I handle these through the Discord Reporting (Link on Store Page or In Game) as soon as possible with a ticket system so you can stay up-to-date on your issue's progress.
Thank you for taking the time to visit and I look forward to providing you with a great product and fun challenge!

Fellow Kings Merchant here! The idea and concept of this game has been fantastic. Love the physics and play style. Slow so you can enjoy the world, but has some thought and planning that goes into everything as well. I think this creator is onto something great and I have been following him for some time now. Keep up the great work. I love forward to seeing the end result and coming back each patch for more content. Hats off good sir!
A Merchant's Promise is truly a relaxing game, that also fulfills the desire to become super wealthy. Sometimes early access games get abandoned or rot away, not this one. The developer is active in the community and steadily makes progress on the game. If you want a relaxing time of walking through a beautiful landscape with a cart of goods, then sit back, grab a drink, and click play.

This is my go to cozy game after a long day at work. The sound design is fantastic! The chimes that mark the beginning of each day bring me more joy than is probably reasonable. The scenery is also incredible, with the area around the city of Rakesfelm being my favorite. It's still in the early access stage, so some of the content is a bit minimal in some areas. However, the dev is already working on updates for a lot of this, and a lot will probably change in the near future. I'm looking forward to seeing the new areas that have been hinted at in game. The dev is also really good about following up on bug reports and getting issues fixed up ASAP. Over all, I would definitely recommend this game, just be chill with its early access state and stand by for new content. Any issues you run into probably won't be there in a month.
it's an extremely fun and addictive game. For me, it's been obsession worthy, which is a huge compliment. It's a simple idea and it's fleshed out quite nicely, as long as you're someone wanting to carve their own path (and not play on rails and be told what to do like your avg big name game). It has it's rough spots, mainly the item manipulation/physics can be frustrating at times, but it's also rewarding when you work things out. Yet, I keep coming back, more excited than before, so that's awesome!
It's in an early state, but helmed by a solo dev who geniuinely cares and is pretty spirited; you can see his progress and experiments on his socials and he has good design ideas and concepts. He's likely just getting the space to put time into the project and it might be worth waiting for a big update or two in coming months. What is here lacks definition and clear direction, and is hamstrung on occasion by game-breaking bugs that seem to become more likely over the length of a save. I haven't been too affected by those myself. From what I can tell these issues are being addressed with map improvements, new storage methods, and an improved tutorial system. But it also has a warm personality, is remarkably simple once you get an understanding of it, and the coming updates seem set to really build the experience. For the cozy and competent visual experience, passionate dev, and promising updates I would recommend this game both short and long-term to patient would-be merchants, especially at a reasonable price.
Such an amazing game in development. The gameplay is really fun, its intentionally slow and methodical. Its a peaceful trading sim that rewards pacing. I've only played about an hour and a half at this point and i can already tell these things. The dev's are super responsive in their discord and awesome to chat with, really down to earth feeling you don't get anywhere now a days from dev's except maybe like Schedule 1 or some other Indies. Its like walking into a local shop in your home town, asking for product info and getting a nice discussion where you learn something and aren't steered wrong versus going to a Generic Blue Bulk Store and getting a middle finger.
Get this game if the live version appeals to you as-is. Do NOT get it if you saw cool upcoming features in the dev logs and think you can just play through the Beta. Unless you want to act as a literal QA tester and give feedback, your progression will suffer. I know 'Betas are broken' sounds obvious, but not all Betas are the same. Some are basically ready for live release, this one is absolutely not. Play the live version for fun, and leave the Beta for heavy testing.
Do NOT buy, at least not right now. The game is buggy, and the strength system for pulling the wagon is too difficult. I stopped playing after getting stuck on a tiny hill with no other way to go and could not progress further because my strength wasn't high enough. There is no storyline or questline to follow which makes the game very boring and confusing.
Nice walking simulator. It's a bit lacking in content so far, but updates are consistent.
