Looks awful, bad controls, bad game. Skip.
I hate leaving bad reviews, but I quite simply did not enjoy playing this game. The controls felt unintuitive and I found myself getting stuck on walls and objects quite frequently. For some reason I had to press down on the joystick while pointing it in the correct direction to perform joystick-bound actions, which adds an unneeded layer of complexity to most inputs. When walking your only option is to walk in the direction your controller is currently pointing, which feels very odd and makes it quite difficult to navigate well while focusing on fighting enemies. It's possible that I could've resolved these issues with a lot of messing with steam settings, but overall I suppose I felt like the game could just use more polish. I do love the artstyle and this seems like a very cool concept for a game, but in its current state I can't recommend it (and considering this game is 8 years old, I consider an update to resolve this to be quite unlikely.)
Wasn't for me, but it's not a bad game at all, the melee combat was unsatsifying (personal preference), and the slide movement seriously caused me nausea (again, personal issue, and you can just use teleport.) The music, art and other gameplay aspects were very neat, and immersive. Sort of a shooter gauntlet, but I just couldn't get past the above issues. VR is still new, try it out if you want a rogue like, room by room shooter, but beware the above.
The control scheme for this game his horrible. There is no way to pan the camera, most VR games offer the ability to set your point of view when you teleport, or use an analog stick to move/translate your FOV. The only way to do this with this game is to move your head. Maybe if you have room-scale, or Oculus Quest this would work but for most VR users this is a problem as your play area is typically in a fixed position constrained by where your PC is anchored or your remote sensors are mounted.
I do not like this better than Vanishing Realms for starters. Also, the description of this game implied that there would be a lot more plot than only a few lines of dialogue at the very beginning.
A fun little dungeon explorer. Not super intense so the experience is a little easier on your brain and eyes compared to other VR action titles. The game runs super smooth on my PC. Casual fun!
