Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

incredibly buggy obscure paradox game that was all the rage for like two months in 2012 when minecraft clones were taking over. probably the first game i owned on steam, had to download the launcher and use a physical code i bought from gamestop, therefore this game indirectly introduced me to a much broader world of pc gaming. it's still fun all these years later but moreso as a novelty. i now realize it's really a super simplified version of dwarf fortress and similar dungeon management games. gets old quickly and in the freeplay mode the deeper you dig and the larger your base becomes the game really begins to tank in performance. (when it really shouldn't) i love this game to death, despite all of the flaws and quirks.

Great game!
Neat game I enjoyed despite itself. Unfinished project.
It says I last played this game 9 years ago- huh?
I really love digging out tunnels in A Game of Dwarves, setting up little dwarven rooms, and watching your underground settlement grow across multiple vertical layers. I lost a few evenings to it without meaning to, which says something. That said, the game is clearly unfinished: dwarves stumble on staircases, the AI is borderline lobotomized, some Steam achievements are permanently broken due to level bugs, and the challenge basically evaporates once you're even slightly established. It's best approached as a relaxed sandbox dollhouse rather than any kind of strategy game — if you go in expecting Dungeon Keeper or Dwarf Fortress depth, you'll be disappointed fast. Grab it on a deep sale if the idea of decorating a cozy underground fort sounds appealing, but go in with low expectations.
My cat just said hello.
wasn't my kind of game. however even with my downvote (i wish there was a neutral vote) I'd recommend to those who like this genre of game.

The last time I played this game over a decade ago, I liked it. Are there probably better games now? Almost definitely. But for $2 on sale? Sure, if you like this kind of game you'll have fun.
