7th Chance

[i]7th Chance[/i] had been sitting in my library for a while, so I decided to try it as a break from a game I was frustrated with; so for me, it was sort of a gaming “timeline cleanser”. [i]7th Chance[/i] is more about choices than chance. It is a visually lovely game with a thought-provoking storyline; but is brief enough to complete in less than an hour; and that included two runs to snag all the achievements. It was the respite I was looking for and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very simple game but still was very enjoyable to go through. Easily replayable as well if you want to go achievement hunting after completing the story

over simplification of life's choices and the consequences of them. it was fast paced & clear enough that i didn't mind though.

7th Chance is a really nice short and sweet game with a story and multiple choices to make (that do matter). It is a relaxing and immersive experience with a reflective narrative. Definitely worth the play, and worth getting to 100%.

7th Chance is a relaxing walking simulator game where you, the player, unearth the story as you find more items and make choices along the way. I liked the different pieces of music that represented differing emotions depending on what choices were made and where you were at in the game. I also liked the graphics, the relaxing atmosphere, the text being part of the environment, and the plot twist at the end of an ending. Although the assets used were generic, they all fitted and blended well together. However, I wasn't a fan of the blinding and flashing lights. Otherwise, the story is simple and easy to understand, and it didn't take long to figure out what to do in the game, despite it's nonlinear nature. On one hand, it makes the story seem bare-bones. On the other hand, everything comes together to tell a cohesive story. Although, I wonder if the story would have been better told if it took place in a more intimate setting where the character was dealing with the situation head-on in the present rather than reflecting on the past in more distant places. Regardless, it was a nice, easy, simple, and breezy experience with a meaningful ending. The price is reasonable, too. My only complaints are the fuzzy graphics, as the sky can become blurry, and the janky and fast-paced controls. The movements could have been more seamless and precise, as there was lag in my playthrough throughout my experience. Luckily, I was able to play it without much hinderance. I also wish I could have changed the controls. In the end, if you want a 20 to 30 minute gameplay experience of walking around, making choices, and piecing together a story along the way, then this game is for you. Just be patient with it, and give it a chance.

Great game, simple and fun. easy to play through with enough of a challenge to keep you engaged. keen for the next one
