2D Baseball Duel

Disclaimer: I made the soundtrack for this game but I was otherwise uninvolved with its development. This game is hilarious and good old fashioned arcadey fun. I don't want to spoil anything, but you should play through the entire single player campaign. I was laughing the entire time. I could see the 2p mode catching on in competitive circles as it's a great mix of mindgames + execution. With the crazy number of unlockable pitches + the breaking ball mechanic there is a ton of depth there to explore. It amazes me that this was all made by one person, from the programming to the game design to the art. Looking forward to future releases from Largemann!

The sweet drama of baseball! This game gave me the magical feeling of being in an arcade in the 90s. My brain is too slow these days to actually aim at the ball but I was able to slam some dingers anyway, just time it right and pray.

A baseball game like I've never seen before. The outwardly simple gameplay proves to be shockingly deep, and the uniquely clean art, witty writing, and catchy soundtrack complete the package. Well made all around and definitely worth picking up.

If you love baseball and hate yourself, this is a game for you!

Very fun! Worth the purchase, can't beat that price. The hitting becomes very satisfying once you figure out the timing, especially in the later levels. and the pitching feels solid in being able to go through different sequences. The quips at the ends of the games are cute, and so are the headlines. The only knock I would give to it is it wasn't super clear how to add movement to the pitches, and I wish there was online multiplayer though it was fun enough single player. Overall would recommend to anyone wanting to play a baseball on steam who don't have a console. Go Jays! (2025 please please please)

Digging it thus far! Easy to learn and tough to master, feels pretty darn good getting a good solid hit and pretty darn bad giving up dingers.

I am not actually a fan of baseball, but this game actually had a lot more depth than I anticipated. Quite a fun story mode, and more than meets the eye of the coordination of aiming and swinging the bat or figuring out which pitch to use and how to "push it" after you throw it... There's a lot of really neat mechanics in this game, some fun achievements, and some good music. I've gotten a solid 10 hours of enjoyment out of this.

This is a really well polished game and well worth the full price tag. It's addicting, frustrating, and fun to learn all the subtleties. The CPU opponents can be tough, but it's satisfying to finally beat one after multiple tries and figuring out what batting/pitching strategies work the best. Perfect for fans that are only interested in pitching/batting.
