Short, enjoyable, and decently engaging (if not a super original tale for the superspy genre). I was not familiar with Choice of Games body of work before stumbling upon this in my Steam queue, and this was good enough for me to be interested in some of their other work.
This game is a fun, bond-inspired romp! Perfect for a quiet or boring afternoon. I enjoyed the characters and how the personal backstory of the main character played a role in how they approached the mission. Some of the stat checks are a tad confusing, and a times the game feels a bit unfair, but for the most part failing isn't the end all be all and regardless the game is fun and worth the price. Certainly worth a few plays!

There are parts to this that I like. But it's just not enough. There's no depth to the story. I can't tell what's going to happen depending on which option I click, because the result doesn't match up well. And there's literally NO WAY to tell what any of these characters want from you. I really wanted to like this. But it was okay at best.

FANTASTIC! The possibilities seem endless and the characters are all so interesting and unique! Definitely in my top 5 of Choice Games! :D
“180 Files: The Aegis Project” is a great spy-themed interactive novel, and I remember enjoying it quite a bit when I played it. While it’s true it’s been years and my recollection is a bit spotty, my original rating and notes make it clear that I found it engaging, well-written, and easy to sink into. (7/10) The strengths, as I recall, were the pacing and the tone throughout most of the story. It delivered the feeling of being a competent agent navigating conspiracies, missions, and interpersonal dynamics, with the usual Choice of Games emphasis on player agency and character customization. The writing style was polished and the cast memorable enough that I stayed invested throughout. Where it fell short for me was the ending. My old review mentions that it felt cut short, and that still matches my sense of it: the story builds momentum toward a larger payoff, but the final chapters wrap up more abruptly than expected. Some plot threads and romantic arcs didn’t get the level of resolution I was hoping for, leaving the experience feeling slightly incomplete despite how strong the journey was. Even so, it was a very enjoyable read overall. If you like spy fiction, character-driven choices, and narrative-heavy games, this is a solid addition to your library. The ending may not have fully stuck the landing for me, but the path there is absolutely worth taking. (7/10)
It is okay, pretty good for what it is. It is competently written and well edited. The woke isn't completely unhinged. It seems to have some replay value. At three hours for a complete play through, catch this on sale. There is one nit that I would pick, one that drove me to distraction. Out of the blue you are expected to remember and type in your character's cover name for the main mission. It is Daniels, by the way. The first name doesn't seem necessary.
the story is pretty cliche but enjoyable and pretty immersive nonetheless. would recommend if you're looking for a fun time and an engaging but not too challenging read
This game is not a very relaxing experience, because you feel you are constantly being judged by your colleagues and superiors. Yes I get it you are a rising star in the agency who are being evaluated for promotion, but it is still very annoying, because [spoiler]one judgemental ♥♥♥♥♥♥ always wants to tell you what to do and your superior is kind of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ too[spoiler]. Also, I wish there were more explicitly sexual and violent scenes in this game, since you are role-playing as a Bond character after all. But overall, this game is the best pure-text one I've played in a very long time. So highly recommended.
