me pareció una experiencia entretenida, para alguien que nunca ha experimentado el juego original me parece un buen acercamiento (especialmente contando que trae la ROM incluida).
If you're approaching this as if it's gonna be a Sonic-like, you're gonna be disappointed. But if you approach this as its own standalone game with its own little niche, you'll have a pretty good time. The updates to the gameplay manage to make this much less rage-inducing than the Amiga original (lest we forget the need to play something on the musical keyboard in one of the music levels in order to finish the level in the og version...)
I wanted to give this game a thumb up, until I wasted 30 minutes and all my lives on the level 5 boss. Until then Zool Redimensioned was very (or way too?) easy, but at least also entertaining. It has a secret shot'n'up level and some other cute things from the original Zool. The look and feel has a homebrewing feeling though. A modern Zool can do better.
Amiga rulezz! Time machine do 1992 roku w zremasterowanej odsłonie. Jest pięknie!
Originally, I was just going to play the Genesis version of Zool, but then I saw this remake during a Steam Sale and decided to check it out instead. And, I'm really glad I did. In Zool, you play as a ninja gremlin who can throw projectiles, climb walls, slide into foes, and even spin around with his katana. If you're playing the Redimensioned Mode, Zool can also double-jump for extra verticality. I would certainly recommend playing that mode first, as it addresses on major complaint many people had with the original title: it zooms the camera out a bit, allowing you to see more of what's happening in the levels. The levels themselves start out simple but can become a maze at times. After beating a level, the game shows you three objectives to strive for. The first is finding the three large collectibles in the level, which will require a bit of exploration. The second has you beat a time set by the developers, and the third is to clear the stage deathless. I only cared to do the first objective for the levels, but I appreciate the other two being there. The second main mode is the Ultimate Ninja Mode, where camera is zoomed back in and you need to grab an amount of the smaller collectibles to leave the stage. It was a pretty fun challenge (minus one big collectible). I would honestly recommend checking this remake out, regardless if you've played the original or not. And if you really want the original experience, it's got you covered as well, as you can play the Genesis ROM on an emulator here! Now if you excuse me, I have a strange hankering for non-descript lollipops...
⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣀⣶⣾⣿⣦⡔⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⢢⣴⣿⣷⣶⣄ ⠄⠄⠄⠄⣰⣿⣿⠿⢿⣧⣸⢻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡟⣇⣼⡿⠉⢿⣿⡆⠄ ⠄⠄⠄⢰⣿⠟⠻⣀⠜⠛⣿⡾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢧⠟⠛⣷⣶⡿⠛⢿⡆⠄ ⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣶⣶⠉⢲⣶⢟⣽⣮⣭⣭⣭⣭⣭⣭⣭⣭⣵⣯⡳⣶⡿⠛⢿⣦⣾⣿⠄ ⠄⠄⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢣⡟⠁⠄⠙⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠋⠄⠈⢻⡜⣧⣤⣾⣿⣿⣿⡇⠄ ⠄⠄⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⣵⣿⣧⣀⣀⣠⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣄⣀⣀⣼⣿⣮⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣧⠄ ⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⣽⣿⡟⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⢻⣿⣯⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄ ⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⣿⢳⣿⠋⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ ⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠙⣿⡞⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄ ⠄⠄⢻⣿⣿⣇⣿⠇⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠸⣿⣸⣿⣿⡟⠄ ⠄⠄⠈⠿⠿⣼⡟⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ ⠄⠄⢻⣧⠻⠿⠁
