Zombie Survival Game Online is an open-world, post-apocalyptic, looter shooter. Craft, quest, explore, build, and fight for survival. Parkour up a mountainside, ramp a truck over a horde, and grab a gasmask to explore the sewers. Can you survive? Doubtful.

I’m really impressed with the 16km map. It’s huge, but it doesn't feel empty—there are always little houses or abandoned campsites to check out. I spent most of my afternoon just driving a truck (finally found one!) through the mountains. The physics on the vehicles are a bit floaty, but it’s still way better than walking across the entire map.
Overall, I’m sticking with it. The game has its frustrations—like the stamina drain and occasional lag—but the core loop of exploring a dead world and bringing back supplies to your base is just as satisfying here as it is in the big-budget titles. For about ten bucks, you’re getting a lot of content and a team that actually seems to care.
The zombie AI is a bit hit-or-miss. Sometimes they're absolute terminators that will follow you forever, and other times they just stare at a wall. I know the devs are working on it, though. When the AI does work, it’s actually pretty challenging because they respond to noise. Don't go around firing unsuppressed weapons unless you're ready for a fight.
The weather system is no joke. I got caught in a massive storm while I was out scavenging and the visibility dropped to almost zero. I had to hide in a gas station until it passed because I could hear a horde nearby. It’s those emergent gameplay moments that keep me coming back. It’s buggy, yeah, but it has a lot of soul.
Pretty solid survival game overall. The map is large and there’s a good amount to explore. Game feels polished and the core gameplay is enjoyable.
Melee combat is okay, but it definitely needs more impact. Hitting a zombie with a crowbar should feel a bit more substantial. On the plus side, the variety of weapons is decent for an early access release. I found a machete that has been my best friend for the last three hours. Just make sure to keep an eye on your weapon durability!
I really dig the original soundtrack. Usually, I just turn off the music in survival games to hear footsteps better, but the radio stations in this one are actually worth listening to. The "Judgement Day" station fits the vibe perfectly. It makes the long hauls between cities feel a lot less lonely when you're playing by yourself.
PVP is pretty intense here. I ran into another player near one of the traders and we had a standoff for about ten minutes before we realized we both just wanted to trade some scrap metal. The tension of not knowing if someone is going to shoot you or help you is what makes these online survival games great. Just don't carry anything you aren't willing to lose!
Does anyone else find the sewers absolutely terrifying? I went down there with just a flashlight and a pistol and the echo of the zombies is enough to make you turn around. The lighting effects in the underground areas are really well done. I just wish the flashlight batteries lasted a little longer, or that we could craft a headlamp earlier in the game.
Honestly, the parkour in this game is a lifesaver. I was being chased by a massive pack of zombies in one of the ruined cities and managed to vault over a wall and climb onto a balcony just in time. Most survival games make you feel clunky, but this feels a bit more fluid. It’s clearly early days, but that mechanic alone makes exploration way more fun than just walking everywhere.
