About

Brilliant, burnt-out, possibly cursed – you play as operant Hershel Wilk, alias CASCADE. Five years ago you led your team into the abyss and have been haunted by your failures ever since. Now you've been recalled for a mysterious assignment that may give you a chance to prove yourself again.

Uncover secrets hidden in the lost corners of the city and within your own mind. Navigate a murky world of potential informants and adversaries. Pass skill checks to uncover their true motivations through subterfuge, violence, or deduction. As an operant, there are multiple ways to approach every problem - your choices and methods will be your own, and so will the consequences.

Find yourself thrown into a three-way struggle for cultural and ideological power, played out across an unforgettable city. You'll go up against international bankers, foreign techno-fascists, psychic doppelgängers, a paranoid TV presenter, a man with a box for a heart, and dozens more. Everyone you meet has their own agendas, beliefs, and secrets for you to uncover and turn to your own ends. In ZERO PARADES, even the world itself is a character with its own secrets, traumas, and miracles for you to discover.

Operants subject themselves to years of psychological training to hone their minds into their greatest weapons. Do you favor animal-like reflexes, a philosophical approach, or a different cover story for every occasion? Through Conditioning, you'll turn the deepest aspects of Hershel's identity into potent abilities and unlock new paths forward. You can even change the rules of the game itself.

Pressures simulate the physical and psychological toll of being in-theatre. Exertion pushes dice rolls in your favour – just remember that you’re gambling with your life. Keep your Fatigue, Anxiety, and Delirium in check or deal with the long-term repercussions.

In this line of work you're going to fail way more often than you succeed. That much is expected of you. What matters is how you pick yourself back up. If the dice don't go your way (and they won't) you'll have to improvise and hope the consequences are ones you can live with.

Reviews
An elegant, thoughtful sophomore effort from za/zum that takes the tropes of the spy genre and bends them towards the surreal. I preferred to play it as a refugee from a Le Carre novel and the game accommodated this with grace. Luck and skill, CASCADE

Coming from someone who had sunk 100hours in Disco Elysium, knew what had happened behind the scene with the studio, this game...is a miss, and I really cannot recommend it. Don't get me wrong the game is okay by it's own right, but damn it's such a drag to playthrough. Very dry atmosphere, I felt like back in school reading one of Voltaire's book assignment............. Boring characters, ridiculous new system, uneven dice rolls (80% chance of succeeding still failing...k) suboptimal voice acting compared to Disco Elysium and the fact that literally any character i talk to i have to go into some weird ass political rabbit hole...I mean come on! I know the same existed in Disco Elysium, but NOT. EVERY. DAMNED. SIDE CHARACTER. If i have to spend another 10mins listening to what some random janitor think about socialism i will commit atrocities. It's also was missing what made Disco Elysium special, the music, the characters design (At least they tried in D.E), dialogue options, Inner thoughts devoted of any sort of personality (same tone for all 3? Why?) complete and utter lack of a semblance of comedy, Oh and the new system? yeah ..., you remembered something you shouldnt and now you lose a point in your skill...... and so so so much more. The amount of times i did some actual spy stuff can be counted on one hand, but that could just be me not reaching the end yet. While writing this review i'm still trying to finish this game, and will do so, but all in all, just not worth it...Thank god i got it on sale for 10USD.
I am a huge fan of Disco Elysium, so with all the controversy around the creator and this studio, I was cautious at first. After about 30 hours of playtime and in the middle of the final act. I gotta say this is every bit as amazing as Disco, there are new mechanics that I love, game looks beautiful even on my crumby ROG Ally, and the writing is packed with absurdity and personality.
和极乐迪斯科比是有过之而无不及的神作,中文翻译的一坨:stroke翻译成中暑,祝汉化组以后夏天必stroke
WE WANT TURKİSH PLEASE ZAUM MAKE İT OUT TURKİSH
If you enjoyed the videogame Disco Elysium, as I did, you might find that you enjoy this game even more, as I did. If you enjoy the work of John le Carre, as I do, you might find you enjoy this game a great deal, as I did. Two enthusiastic thumbs up from me.
It’s not Disco, but it doesn’t have to be. Game is great and a fantastic entry into Noncombat crpgs. Luck and Skill
