A bit idiosyncratic and confusing at first, but fun and relaxing once you get the hang of it.
A fun game worth the wait!! Comes with daily challenge random maps ETC.
This game is a good game, really. A mix of puzzle, strategy, building, expansion. A sort of board game basically, that give you some options (technology tree and several piles of tiles) and let you decide how to proceed. It's all in your hand, in your strategy, in your timing, in your decisions. Good luck :) How to play? You have the demo to test it, and lot of videos on YT to look, where you can realize if it's for you. For example if you search "4,023 High Score - Zen World" you will find how to expand, balacing tentacle and compact expansion without letting go of the hand too much, never give up even tiles seems ending, master the water and improve the score. I watch that at 0.5 speed from time to time and not finished yet (it's a two hours video). The game is not infinite, or, better, I don't know if it is infinite if you play the "perfect game". However is good that a certain point it ends. Score is joy and frustration of the players, but not that much, actually. When you become good enough, you will understand that if you are 2nd with 300 points from the 1st, it has been just a matter of, for example, two tiles badly placed, and because you have choosen a technology instead of take the "gift" of 100 points in the tree. Or the contrary :) Small things can make a big difference. Especially when you are at the end of your game, and you have to do your best to gain even only 10 points. Replayability? Believe me, you will never play the same map in the same way. Okay, may be the initial 5-6 tiles, but soon or ... sooner you will change something because you will have learned something in the previous lesson that will cause you play totally different, hopefully better :) Pluse, there is an interesting campaign, and each map has its scoreboard. Not only, the daily challenge with game variants, is a considerable added value. Last but not least in these times: With MSI Afterburner + Riva Tuner, limiting to 30fps, at the end of the map, I have an energy consumption of CPU I7-4770 Haswell (2013) 3GHz usage 12% 42° 10W GPU GTX1050ti working at 700MHz usage 20% 49° My 2022 summer game, for sure. Note for developer: - Minimap or more zoom out are required as soon as possible, thanks :) - Mountains are strange to me, they look more obstacles to avoid than an incentive to deal with them. But I've seen that Dev has done a good job so far, and I think that he will continue this way.
Fun game to play although it's hard even the 'easy' missions.
Great relaxing zero-pressure puzzle game. If you like Dorfromantic while the gameplay is obviously different this game has the same "zen" vibe, beautiful landscape, and focus level (or non-focus level) as Dorfromantic. These games were meant for the same audience. You can play this game in a mindless zero-thought void and just restart it every time you run out of tiles, or you can play it to maximize a score and land on the leaderboard and dissect or plan every move. So it's great for those who just want to relax and equally good for those who want something a little complex to focus on. The devs have continued to expand on it, there are zero bugs or issues I have found, and it really is very zen. I think this is a game I can come back to for man many years and continue to enjoy each time I pick it up. It's not super complex or hard to learn, there isn't really a true end goal other than getting a higher score, there is no clock so the pace is whatever you want it to be. It may be boring to some but if you just want something light and maybe a little brain-busting (but only when you feel like it) this game is perfect. If you are someone used to shooters or fast-paced games, who doesn't enjoy slow methodical puzzles or something zen to play while watching TV late at night... then maybe not the game for you. Personally, I have anxiety and ADHD and this game was MADE for neurodivergent anxiety brains, people who need a fidget game to focus on. If that's you then you should 100% buy this game.
