Zafehouse: Diaries

A good, slow, board game like experience. It's enjoyable, but RNG can ruin you from the beginning in a frustrating and helpless way. If you've got this in your library it's worth a shot - but the sequel improves on this in a number of areas.

This game is a great experience if you like survival, management, and zombie themed games in general. There's more than enough content here to warrant the low cost or getting it in a bundle if any of those types of games interest you.

A very challenging game and atmospheric despite the simple interface. The music of the game draws you in as you try and keep your fragmented group cooperating as you all work together to escape the city before it's too late. The base game with its character generation is a real bastard and often every single group the RNG gives you will have one or two survivors that are The Load, but you can't afford to get them killed because they might have absolutely essential skills. The real gem of this game is with the custom play where you can generate your own characters and use photos of whatever you like to represent them: then you've actually got a team of survivors who aren't likely to murder each other before the zombies kill them all. Definitely worth a look.
